The world is separated into eight portions. North, Northeast, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West, and Northwest. The Southeast Habitat is completely dead, and unfarmable. Without the Water Elemental to assist the Nature Elemental, it slowly died off. The Southern Habitat is also dying.
A N I M A
Anima are various species that make up the main race of the planet. With the most advanced intellect, they have already taken control of the Habitat.
R O Y A L F A M I L Y
The Royal Family are a race of Anima told to be descended from the Gods. There are multiple Royal Families, each for each Elemental. The Inferno Family is the most well known, and the Fire Elemental belongs in that family. The Frigid Family b the Ice Elemental. The Nature Elemental descends from the Essence Family. The Twilight Family controls the Shadow Elemental. The Lightning Elemental is in the hands of the Shock Family. The Prisma Family holds the Light Elemental. The Earth Elemental is in the Terra Family, and the Air Elemental is at the Disposal of the Ether Family. The last family, the Cyclone Family, used the Water Elemental, but they were wiped out almost 100 years ago, including the last Water Elemental, Aurae. The Water Element is due to reappear soon.
E L E M E N T A L S
Elementals are magical beings controlling the elements known as Fire, Ice, Nature, Shadow, Lightning, Light, Earth, Air, and Water. Elementals have been strictly kept in the Royal Family, as they state ‘Only Royals would know how to properly use this great power without selfish goals, as well as unlock it’s true power.’This ‘True Power’ is to be able to pass the power to others without death. To pass the power on with death is to give power to another member of the Royal Family who is willing to accept it. Almost 2000 years ago, the Royal Massacre occurred. After all the Elements were relocated into the Royal Family, the Age of Power began.
Some trivia for the Elemental powers: If the Elemental bearing the power dies, even if a Royal Family member bears it, it will take 100 years to remanifest, which was one of the Royal Family’s reasons for relocating the power to them so they would not have to wait 100 years for each power to reappear and to instead pass it on. Next, the remanifestation of the power cannot be chosen by an Anima, as the power ‘chooses’ its host.
Due to the slaughter of the entire Cyclone Family, the Water Elemental has yet to appear within someone.

Almost 2000 years ago, when the Elementals first appeared, the Royal Family found that a Royal possessing an Element could pass it down to another Anima, but a Peasant possessing the power could not. This lead to the Royal Massacre, where the Royal Family executed multiple peasants bearing the power of the Elements to transfer it to the Royal Family. This left a lack of trust between the Royals and the citizens for almost 100 years before it was regained, and the Age of Power began.

During this age, the Elementals used their power to help their citizens. The major Elementals in the Age of Power were the Water, Nature, and Lightning Elementals. The Water and Nature Elementals worked together to keep the land lush and hydrated, preventing and ending terrible droughts and other natural disasters. The Lightning Elemental worked alone, making a large amount of power of the Habitat to run on.

Almost 100 years ago, the Cyclone Family was wiped out by Plague. The last Water Elemental, Aurae, fought bravely until her death, but did not have the time nor energy to pass her power on before her demise.
P L A G U E
Plague stands for a great evil that once roamed the Habitat. It was last seen at the Cyclone Family slaughter before disappearing, leaving the Habitat on edge, ready for its return. It was told that when touched by it’s dark magic, Anima would turn into mindless monsters and morph into creatures only seen in nightmares.

Kyltie is a overworked, lowerclass Anima who works with agriculture at a camp located in the large wasteland that makes up part of the Southern Habitat.
L O C A T I O N : S O U T H E R N H A B I T A T
A dry wasteland at the edge of Habitat that used to be a luscious Rainforest before The fall of the cyclone Family. After the Cyclone Family was slaughtered, it stopped raining and trees shriveled up and died. The Southern Habitat is on the list for one of the Habitat’s that are due for expiration.
When an area is about to expire, (basically become unusable for crops and gathering goods and materials) Royalty places a temporary camp of lower-class citizens to work for a small wage to farm the area and use up as much of the area they can before it's has expired.
Kyltie spends hours out in the desert-like wasteland everyday, planting crops thats she's almost certain won't grow.
One day, she and the rest of the camp are out in the wasteland again, going through the same routine as always.
Then, disaster strikes.
A sandstorm out of nowhere swept through the area, covering up paths and clouding the wasteland to the point of trying to locate water impossible.
Many of the workers began dying off, alone, due to dehydration.
In her last moments, Kyltie found water, floating in front of her.
The water elemental had returned.
The anima survived, finding her way back to camp due to the fact she could pull water from practically dead plants, the ground, and from the wisps of clouds in the sky around her. No one was at camp. She was alone.
Kyltie soon realized that if someone found out about her powers, she would most likely be killed as to relocate it into the Royal Family again.
She had to hide.
But, with the return of the final elemental, a great evil returned too. Anima all over the Habitat were growing rabid and violent, killing families mindlessly and aggressively.
The Plague was back.

elemental are most often royalty. royalty has the power to pass on the elemental power (its in their uhh, royal blood xD. each family is descended from the original elementals (but dont worry no weird incest going on in here, different families can marry into different families c:), while if you are lower-class, you cannot pass down the power and it will randomly be assigned to someone when you die
most elemental are royalty because they often dont die without choosing a successor. however, those that are not royalty hide their powers from others because its is law for the power to be reassigned into the royal family-and this can only be done by executing the person with it.
