Maple wanders around Canine corner mildly bored, she nodded to a group of older German shepherds and continued along the fence.
I wonder what my twoleg is up to todayshe thinks to herself with a chuckle, the little twoleg was always running around causing chaos which was why the bigger two legs always took her to some strange building to be with the other small two legs. hmm I wonder if the old lady left out any food... she does have the best cans on the block though I could hunt for myself

Cypress yawned as she stretched herself, basking in the sun as it beat down in the car roof. A soft purr bubbled out of her throat, and her tail gently flicked with every few breaths. She was content, neither bored nor entertained, simply enjoying the sunlight. Her two legged companion was in her private room today, and had been the majority of that mor ing to afternoon. She would scratch strange sticks on large blank surfaces, adding color and squiggles, and then tucking them away in a book. Cypress wasnt allowed in the private room, and her time was better spent outside of the den.
Birds fluttered overhead, singing and taunting as they went by- for a moment, Cypress considered what good it would be to stalk them, maybe take one down...would it satisfy her mood? Probably not, but it may add a light of interest to her day. Raising a brow and watching the songbirds, her cold gaze followed them as they floated off and behind a house. Shrugging it off, Cypress rolled onto her back, exposing her soft stomach to the sun.

Traversing the picket fences remained [i]grating[/i], but the familiarity of the routine allowed her some grace. Instinctively her paws grazed over holes and cracks, narrowly dodging the splintered wood (most likely a result from the hellish antics her own dog had gotten into). The sight of a clan-mate did little to quell Rowan's current anxieties, which simply intensified with the thought of being caught down here. Would it be worth it to risk an interaction while in the throes of her true home?
She tongued her cheek as she mulled over such an odd insecurity (which was nothing more than a child's seeking for approval), and decided unceremoniously.. that she was being dumb. Yet even when she leapt from her perch to join with Maple, she found herself teetering on a query of why the latter would be around the canines.
"[color=2F83FF][b]Good mourning, Mapil. How you do?[/b][/color]"
Rowan nudged her side gently, purring just beneath her labored breaths as she recovered from her fence-hopping. Up ahead, the sight of Cypress (a delight, as she was quite proud of herself to identify another clan-mate from such a range) cast her tail upwards. Inner thoughts calmed her that if she could not talk for long, the other feline would surely assist.
And then, the morning routine would proceed without a hitch.

Yawning, Sequoia started her day with a draft blowing through the open windows. In the distance she could hear the chirps of little songbirds enjoying the morning sun. She rolled over, still drowsy. Mustering the strength to get out of her comfy bed, she headed over to her bowls the human had set out for her already. Lowering her neck, she gladly lapped up the food, thinking about Rowan.
[i][color=2d572c]I wonder where I'll find her today,[/color][/i] she thought warmly. Sequoia's new accomplice was always finding ways to try to impress her, or get into trouble. Either way she loved Rowan, even if she was new to their little group, she was learning all the same. [i][color=2d572c]I promise I won't let you down, mother. I promise to look after her like you did to me when we were together, I promise she will be safe. Nothing can hurt her if I protect her...[/i][/color]
A jolt prompted Sequoia out of her spiraling thoughts. Her human had laid a hand on her head, stroking it. She purred and rolled over, as to expose her belly. Her human always made sure to pet her, no matter if they were busy or not. The warm feeling soon went away as the human returned to wherever they were prior.
With a quick shake, she was feeling like herself again, Leisurely stepping toward the back entrance. A quick hop through the smaller entrance embedded inside it, and she was outside. She purred, being outside was always comforting, no matter how she felt. She hopped up on the fence and sat there for a moment, waiting for someone or something to pass by. In the mean time, Sequoia was intent in sitting on the fence, as the warm spring breeze blew by.
What a perfect day.

It was nice to see another cat of her clan and she could smell Cypress. She was almost always among the dogs and had even learned to speak their language but she was always down for some shenanigans with her clan

Aster was perched upon a fencepost, observing two dogs bicker about the color of their collars, and she sighed. She quite loved some of the dogs in the neighborhood, but others were just... unintelligent. She got to her paws, stretching, before padding along the fence to a different house.
The humans here had a small dog. A small, annoying, and loud dog, who would come out every day when she passed by to bark at her. She found it quite cute, and watched as the flap in the door spun outwards, and the small thing burst out. She sat there for a while, watching him claw at the fence while he spewed unintelligible things, and smiled. Did no one bother to teach him how to speak properly?
"Little one, why are you here so early?" she asked, reaching a paw tentatively down. He continued to bark, and she moved on to the next house.
She wasn't entirely sure why these humans had moved in, because they had no dogs. They were an elderly couple she visited every day on her daily walk around the neighborhood, and they would feed her once in a while. She jumped into their yard, and looked around. One of them was watering his plants, and she padded over, rubbing her head against his legs. The water turned off, and the human picked her up, gently stroking her, before putting her on a chair, where she sat, watching the neighborhood.

[i]Easy, easy.[/i] The query was ever familiar, ever simple. The faintest hint of a smile played upon Rowan's gesture, her whiskers twitching gently. "[b][color=2F83FF]I do well, thank you.[/b][/color]" By this rate, they'd arrived at Cypress, to which the little brown feline offered a nuzzle to the other's shoulder.
The dogs were growing uneasy, excited. The fences were shuddering, howls and yowls erupting forth from the canines hoping to be released from their caging. The little twolegs poured from the doors to greet the day with similar eagerness, and activity flourished. [i]Officially morning.[/i]
Undoubtedly, quick glances elsewhere revealed the unfailing presence of other cats. Her heart swelled to view the silhouettes of Aster and Sequoia, her closest, but one remained missing; Cedar. A small sigh from her jaw held no ill, merely humor as she wagered what the male might be up to this time.

Easy, easy. The query was ever familiar, ever simple. The faintest hint of a smile played upon Rowan's gesture, her whiskers twitching gently. "I do well, thank you." By this rate, they'd arrived at Cypress, to which the little brown feline offered a nuzzle to the other's shoulder.
The dogs were growing uneasy, excited. The fences were shuddering, howls and yowls erupting forth from the canines hoping to be released from their caging. The little twolegs poured from the doors to greet the day with similar eagerness, and activity flourished. Officially morning.
Undoubtedly, quick glances elsewhere revealed the unfailing presence of other cats. Her heart swelled to view the silhouettes of Aster and Sequoia, her closest, but one remained missing; Cedar. A small sigh from her jaw held no ill, merely humor as she wagered what the male might be up to this time.
