You wake up in a distorted landscape. Many floating islands like the one you stand on comprise this dimension, and a large serpentine creature flies about, before stopping in front of you.
"Greetings, young mortals," the creature speaks to you, their voice sounding nearly as distorted as the realm it lives in, "I am Giratina, ruler of the Distortion World. I have sent you here on a very important mission..."
"Many Pokémon are growing more violent, some of them becoming like wild animals, experiencing something like an unnatural version of what the mortals of the Pokémon world call "Mega Evolution". I would explain what this term means, but you'll find out in due time..."
"But for now," Giratina says, "You should tell me who you are..."

Giratina opens up a portal beneath your feet, as you are sucked out of the Distortion World.....
So... This is the first roleplay I have ever been host/GM/DM for, so now that we've got that intro out of the way, here's some rules:
1. FR rules apply, and so do basic roleplaying rules (No godmodding/powerplaying, no controlling other people's characters, no Mary Sues/Gary Stus, etc.)
1A. You can have characters or OCs from any fandom, or even OCs who do not come from a fandom. Characters from fanmade AUs aren't allowed, unless it's an AU where (insert dead character here) survives or something along those lines. Characters who are the same person but from seperate timelines or different points in the canon aren't allowed either. Duplicates aren't allowed either, unless the two versions of that character are different enough from each other to not be considered the same person.
(Example: You can have, say, Kris, Ralsei, and Susie from Deltarune interacting with characters from the main cast of Undertale (Characters from a canon AU (who aren't present in the original universe) interacting with different characters from the original universe), have Jonathan Joestar interacting with Johnny Joestar (Different versions of the same character, but they're different enought to be considered seperate characters), or even have a conversation between Dio Brando and Diego Brando (Same as the last one), but you can't have Undertale Sans existing alongside Underfell Sans and Underswap Sans (Multiple duplicates, latter 2 are from fanmade AUs), have Part 2 Joseph and Part 3 Joseph existing alongside each other (Same character but from different points in time), or have Pacifist Run!Frisk and Genocide Run!Frisk meet up with each other (Same character, but from two seperate timelines))

2. You can evolve over time, but you must start out as a basic Pokémon.
3. Glitch Pokémon (such as Missingno) are not allowed, and neither are fakemon. Sorry.
3B. You can use alternate forms that aren't canon, as long as you ask me first if you can do that. Design alterations made to fit a fandom character or OC's design more (ex. Color changes, accessories, etc.) are completely ok.
4. You are allowed to play as Legendary Pokémon (except for Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Regigigas, Kyurem, Zygarde, Necrozma, and Eternatus, as they are important to the plot in one way or another.
4A. The maximum amount of Legendary player characters one can have at a time is three, with the exceptions of the Type: Null line and Phione, which do not count towards the Three Legend limit.
4B. Legendaries are not just restricted to native Pokémon (aka You can have canon characters or OCs that are legendary)
4C. There can be multiple of certain Legendaries (specifically Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Latios, Latias, Deoxys, Shaymin, Phione, Genesect, the Type: Null line, the Cosmog line, Zeraora, the Meltan line, the Kubfu line, and Zarude) existing at the same time. This also applies to Mewtwo, though there are only two Mewtwo slots available, and the Mewtwo must be controlled by two different people (In other words, there are 2 Mewtwo, but only 1 Mewtwo per person).
4D. You can have Ditto or Mew use Transform to become Legendaries (Yes, they can transform into Plot Legendaries), but they cannot use the signature move(s) of the Legendary that they transformed into. Zoroark can use illusions to take on the appearance of a Legendary, but they retain their original moveset.
4E. The only way to have more than 3 legendaries (other than Type: Null/Silvally and Phione) on your roster is if one of your legends gets killed off somehow, and you are having another character "re-fill" that legend slot. Though don't use this rule as an excuse to kill all your legendaries just to replace them with new ones.
5. Ultra Beasts are allowed, and there isn't a limit on how many you can have at once
6. You can have canons/OCs learn "illegal" moves (Moves that that Pokémon species is unable to learn normally), unless the illegal move is either Sketch or the signature move of a Legendary. Illegal Abilities are also allowed on canons/OCs.
6A. You can use the signature moves for Legendaries, but only if either the character that's using the move is the Legendary that actually learns that move, or if your character used Metronome and had that move randomly selected by RNG. If your character is a Smeargle, then they are allowed to use Sketch to gain a Legendary's signature move.
6B. The only "illegal" ability you can have on a native Pokémon is Battle Bond on a member of either the Chespin line or the Fennekin line. This is due to this RP's recent inclusion of Battle Bond forms for the final evolutions of those two lines, Chesnaught and Delphox respectively.

7. Fusions/Hybrids are allowed, but only on native Pokémon, and they have to be between similar species (Something like Pichu/Emolga, Treecko/Sobble, or Ponyta/Mudbray would work, but not something like Growlithe/Torchic or Skitty/Wailmer)
7A. The one exception to the "similar species" rule is if there is a good explanation behind that Pokémon being a hybrid (ex. They have some of the DNA of (insert Pokémon here), they were blessed/gifted by a Legendary, etc.). Though you can't have a fusion between two different Legendaries. Sorry.
8. You can submit fake Megas, but I am NOT giving any of the Eeveelutions Megas (Because if I give one of them a Mega, I'll have to give all 8 of them Megas, and I do not want to get into that dumpster fire)
9. Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13!
10. LGBTQ+ characters are allowed and accepted
11. Hate the character, not the roleplayer (In other words, if a character is being a big jerk, don't hate the person playing that character)
12. Don't kill off other people's characters without their permission
13. Swearing is allowed, but try to censor anything worse than stuff like hell, crap, and damn. Fandom swears (such as peck) are totally fine.
14. This one isn't technically a rule, but this takes place in a seperate universe from the main series games, and any regions or organizations from there do not exist in this universe
15. If you drop out (or go completely inactive) and you have a legendary who is not one where there can be duplicates of it, I will remove that legendary from the list if you haven't used them too much.
