Hey hey! This is an old RP of mine which lasted a good long time! But it is time for a restart and a new thread. Feel free to sign up Hello! ‘Tis I, SpeckledNightSky! Coming to you from the edge of Sorneith. You can see 10 other dragons, about your age, looking just as disgruntled as you. “THESE DRAGons have been chosen by the Gods themselves! The Eleven speak through them, act through them, create and destroy through them. We have gathered them here, in hopes for them to prove themselves, and see, who’s power rises over all. They will go through peril and pain, and troubling tests, to prove themselves worthy of thy power. The trials consist of a three week tournament. Each will have opportunities for the competitors to prove themselves.” The voice spoke again from the top of the dome. Dragons from all flights quieted down and watched, observing every move of the 11 chosen dragons. It was time to introduce yourself. •[/quote] That is the prompt and the plot, the Gods have chosen 11 dragons to channel their power into Sorneith. One dragon from each flight. Once the 11 chosen spots are filled up, you can add your dragon as a character who doesn’t have to be one of the Chosen Ones. [/quote] TIP: your dragon doesn't have to be actually Nature Flight To Channel the Gladekeeper. Or light flight to channel the power of Lightweaver. It can be different in the story. But overall she is a bit emotionally detached. She can be kind or strict and cold hearted. The best way to bribe her is with flowers and flower crowns. Once you get by the tough, ambitious and strict over achiever (kind of like Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda), she is caring, loving and a bit awkward. Hobbies: Gardening, all nature related stuff, making flower crowns, pressing flowers, and watching fireflies and stars. Skill: Gardening and cooking, also very skilled fighter. Power: Growing plants, and magic. Backstory: Rio was grown in a rich family and was pretty much spoiled, until she was sent to train at the edge of Sorneith to learn the martial arts and magic, and to channel the Gladekeeper. Soon she was sent as one of the contestants for Channeling The Gladekeeper. After months of tests and challenges (most of them she failed XD), her name was accidentally written into the ‘Best of the Best’ raffle for the three contestants for Channeling the Gladekeeper. As some unbelievable accident, that most mistook as a sign from the Gladekeeper herself, her name was pulled and she was chosen. Her powers are still growing. Current love interest?: None yet. [center][b]Name:[/b] Meztli [b]Age:[/b] 16-ish in human years [b]Channeling?:[/b] The Shadowbinder [b]Personality:[/b] Quiet, observant, kind, and witty, Meztli is all one could want form a young royal. She's a perfectionist at heart, dotting her [i]i's[/i] and crossing her [i]t's[/i] with a practiced grace taught to her by only the best tutors. If there's something Meztli wants to do, she won't leave it unfinished. Admittedly a bit spoiled, she is used to other dragons bending to her will and word even though it's something her parents tried to teach her not to take for granted. She tries in everything she does, especially with interacting with other dragons, mostly because she's always had a difficult time doing so. Well, other [i]non-royal[/i] dragons. Metzli gets along just fine with those of the same status as her, but seems a little lost and awkward around any who aren't royalty. What has been trained out of her, though, is a faerie-like love of tricks and pranks. Her closest confidantes know that she loves riddles and wordplay, and the quickest way through Meztli's icy walls is to offer a game of strategy or wit. [b]Hobbies:[/b] Sewing/embroidery, gardening, flower arranging, painting, poetry [b]Skill:[/b] Gardening, lacemaking, strategy games [b]Power:[/b] Umbrakinesis and seeing in the dark farther than normal (powers are still growing/being discovered) [b]Backstory:[/b] Born the fifth daughter to the king and queen of a blossoming Nature clan, Meztli got to enjoy all of the benefits of being a princess without many of the expectations. So she didn't interact with 'commoners' all to well, she was never going to be Queen, there were plenty siblings before her that would be better for public appearances, and in any case there would be more time to work on things. In short, Meztli lived a very cushy and comfortable life, indulging in whatever she may like, be it expensive apples from the Tangled Woods or luxurious silks. However, this was all taken from her rather recently. Meztli had attended the demonstration to determine the final Channeler for the Shadowbinder; one of the candidates had been resident at their clan for quite some time before being called away, and Meztli always jumped at the opportunity to visit the forest that was so unlike her own. However, the young princess displayed a shocking surge of Shadow magic while watching the challenge, enough to best even the most promising candidate. Meztli was essentially forced to enter as the Channeler of the Shadowbinder, both for her sudden display in power and due to whispers that her parents had sent the dragon they were there to watch in her stead when the seers sent a letter requesting Meztli take place in the challenges to determine a Channeler for the Shadowbinder. Whatever the case, the young princess has not been able to replicate the surge of magic since. Adila rarely speaks more than one or two words at a time, and this combined with her permanently disheveled appearance leads to her coming off as unintelligent. That's not exactly an accurate assessment. While outwardly disinterested in the affairs of others, the Fae is in actuality extremely observant, both of her surroundings and of those around her. Ironically, this leads to her coming off as spacey and airheaded, since she's considering so many things that what's happening in the moment is lost on her. That much can be safely stated. A wayfaring traveler with no particular allegiances, she seemingly manifested out of nowhere a handful of years ago. For the most part, the Fae is comfortable passively observing the world around her than being an active participant in it. On the other hand, she'll take on Beastclan hordes and fling herself into arenas seemingly at random. Given her relatively placid demeanor and unintimidating appearance, her vicious efficiency in combat comes as a shock. The capricious nature common to wind drakes and a tendency to remove herself from the company of others as soon as possible means the impact Adila can leave on a battlefield can seem to have come from nowhere. There aren't a great number of drakes who know her by name, and those who do would advise you to keep your distance. Something is inexplicably [i]wrong [/i]about her, regardless of her apparent frailty.
