Whether you be black or white, living or dead, the role you take is all you can say you have that can't be taken away. Unless you get bit of course. Be careful when deciding who you will be, and where you take place with that role. It affects the world around you. Plentiful nurses are good for the wounded, but not for defending the forts when the cadets are the ones getting injured. Cadets are great for defending one's castle, but illness can make any empire fall if there are not enough nurse's left to tend to the wounded. You can always adapt your role to fit another, but your expertise will be determined by what role you take on first, and that first role will be your background, depending on the role. Roles are everything in the land of survival, and they decide which chess piece you will play, and the sacrifices will be forced to make in the face of the onslaught of war.

~~Table of Roles~~

~~Most Needed Roles~~
Please read this!

I know some roles seem more exciting than others, and I have asked before that roles fit your dragon's personality, but I also want to emphasize that roles also are based on their professions and the way they play inside or outside the given camps. And so I ask that you are a little more careful with how you balance out your decisions.

I'm not calling anybody out, I just want to make sure that the roles are evenly distributed amongst characters so that there is not too much of one thing, and I don't want to have to disapprove of characters we like or ask things of you unexpectedly or limit your creativity abruptly just to even out the roles. So if you keep these things in mind, we can avoid future predicaments! Here are my suggestions on what you can do.

(Remember! You don't have to be attached to characters to play them! Even the littlest of interactions can help spur a greater story for the characters you do enjoy and help those who want to lift their gems off the ground! It is more work for the considerate players, but in the end it is so very worth it for all those you are considerate for, and they will have you to thank for their adventures, even if they are rough at first!)

Player Based Suggestions

If you have a role that I don't list as necessary and you are comfortable with playing more than one character, I ask that you do make at least one of the more common and necessary roles to play with to help everybody in their endeavors.

If you are a player who can handle multiple different interactions at a time, I suggest that you make a common role for every unique role to help with keeping it even! That way you can still have multiple uniques while also keeping the roles nice and even!

You do not trust the confinement of refugee camps and posts that are being set up all around the continent. You don't trust the dragons within there to not stab you in the back in your sleep or share their supplies with you. So you walk this world alone. You are most likely skilled in fighting techniques and can hold your own. You are a survivor. [size=6][b][sub]~[/sub][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][size=3][font=papyrus][u]Loner Sub Roles[/u][/font][/size][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][sub]~[/sub][/b][/size] [size=4][font=papyrus][b][u]Ranger[/u][/b][/font][/size] These loners don’t travel half as much as the other loners do. Instead they stick close by to camps and help defend them from zombies without being a part of their death trap. They are more likely to be active with the camp then other loners are, but they still refuse to reside within. They are those who protect travelers in exchange for a campfire or simply because you think they are idiots and need protection. They are often stubborn about everything, but they are one with the world. Your goal is to protect dragon kind from the wilds and the wilds from the undead. You care about the living because you know that they are better off alive than dead, but have little sympathy for possible threats that need extermination. You are an odd one, and other loners are within your social life's network. Except you are more driven to protect than to focus on self survival. You know how to hunt, track, and read the wilds. You are skilled in one sort of biome and all others you can get lost in, so you tend to stick to one flight zone instead of venturing out, but your nature is not strict about where you are willing to travel to and where to remain. You will teach whoever is willing to listen to your ways so that they too can survive on their own. You are a woodsman. They are group leaders, but will not have any authority over those who do not claim to be with them. They will be the diplomats when camps and groups collide, so they have a say in what happens to their traveling group, but will not get a say what happens within camps. They cannot lead more than 80 dragons at a time or they will be forced to set up posts and mini camps. Networks like these may not be approved. They are more likely to trade game for medical supplies. No set system to be played here yet. Prices for trades vary between characters being traded with. Why your loner believes that camps are bad for dragons is up to you, but a common point of view shared amongst you would be that they are likely death traps for those inside and the possibility of a camp missing an infected that would later turn into a zombie. Your best friends are merchants and mercenaries. [size=5][b][sub]~[/sub][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][size=4][font=papyrus]How to Play a Ranger[/font][/size][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][sub]~[/sub][/b][/size] Although this role shares elements with Hunters, Seekers, and Scouts, you are very much different from them. The difference between [b]Hunter[/b] and [b]Ranger[/b] is that rangers do not kill animals or see animals as just food like hunters do. Hunters simply know how to track and kill, while you know how to take care of and nurture nature. You are more tuned in with the world, and you know how to protect it. Hunters are a little more careless and will kill anything that seems to be having a bad day, while Rangers can calm the beast and mend the creature’s health to avoid a nasty interaction. Hunters can recognize when something is wrong, but rangers can identify and mend the problem. The difference between a [b]Scout[/b] and a [b]Ranger[/b] are that Rangers are more land driven while Scouts are the rangers of the sky. Scouts are merely mapping out the landscape and identifying possible threats as quickly as possible while Rangers take their time to learn the land and all its dangers. Scouts are just there to keep an eye on zombie activity and report back to their superiors while Rangers go off on their own to wisen up to the land and create new pathways hidden beneath the canopies. Scouts are not as savvy with nature as Rangers are. If you asked one of the two to find you a meal in a frozen wasteland, the Ranger would be able to deliver rabbits and herbs while the Scout will most likely come back with nothing. Scouts may know the possible routes, but they only see the surface. Rangers are more in depth and more likely to help you avoid danger while traversing said routes. The difference between [b]Seeker[/b] and [b]Ranger[/b] is that a Ranger knows the land while the seekers go in blindly. Rangers have taken the time to understand and explore while Seekers take the word of Scouts and hope to be safe. Seekers are simply a mix of cadet, scout, and nurse and are able to save lives, while Rangers work alone and can use what’s around them in more resourceful ways. Seekers don’t understand the landscape, they simply brave it. Rangers can be more resourceful with the land and produce medicines from plants no one has ever heard about, while a Seeker depends on medicines made by dragons. Rangers are more resourceful with the world around them while Seekers depend on others to fulfill their needs. If you were to be saved by either a Ranger or a Seeker, your chances of survival are much more secure and plentiful than with a seeker, because the Ranger knows better. You are a lot less alone, that’s for sure. You do travel alone however, but you are not afraid to have company. Usually this company comes in the form of other loners and lost travelers. You don’t mind a travel buddy, but you like to come and go as you please. You are often the reason a pack of loners will come together and work with one another. You usually move around from multiple campsites you have set up to keep your scent from becoming permanent in one spot. You know every nook and cranny of your desired flight zone and you know all the fauna and flora of the area. You have lived off the land all on your own for years now and you remain so since the beginning of the apocalypse. You care for both animals and dragons, but if you had to choose between the two, you would pick the animals. You find farmers disgusting for keeping the wildlife in cages like that and disagree with them highly. Hunters are your biggest enemy, for they cull the land and purge it of its beauty with reckless abandon and you will not stand for it. Zombies not included, the majority of your fights are with poaching hunters. You believe all wildlife should be respected, even when killing them for meat, and to abuse them so is treason against the world the deities have created. Your magic is always based around animals and nature, and you are skilled with wooden weaponry. You NEVER use metal, only organic materials. You disagree with wranglers as well. You find them even more disrespectful than farmers, and just as bad as hunters. You will often attack Wrangler settlements and destroy their cargo and set loose whatever they have cooped up. You defend this land tirelessly, and you’ll continue to do so until your dying breath. You often have a familiar on board with you and you treat them like you would family. You have a soft spot for the critters, but you do not hoard them like menageries do. You believe that they should come and go as they please, and cooping them up is wrong. You will protect the familiars first and the dragons later. [sup]_________________________________________________________________________________[/sup]

~~Loner~~

You belong to and answer to no one.

~~Loner Sub Roles~~

Ranger
These loners don’t travel half as much as the other loners do.

~~Fellow Loner/Leaders~~
Until I have a secure template and system for group leaders they will be classified as Loner/Leaders.
Loner Leaders will not have as much power as camp leaders and are expected to always be on the move.

~~How to Play a Loner~~

Loners are most likely self sustaining, and the only interactions with camps would be temporary shelter when no other option is available, quick escape, and supply trades.

~~How to Play a Ranger~~

Although this role shares elements with Hunters, Seekers, and Scouts, you are very much different from them.

The difference between Hunter and Ranger is that rangers do not kill animals or see animals as just food like hunters do.

The difference between a Scout and a Ranger are that Rangers are more land driven while Scouts are the rangers of the sky.

The difference between Seeker and Ranger is that a Ranger knows the land while the seekers go in blindly.

You are training or have been trained to defend the campsite you found yourself in and you are supported by the numbers and strength of the camp you now live in. You find that in order to survive you must make peace with your differences and work alongside enemies. You are a protector. [size=6][b][sub]~[/sub][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][size=3][font=papyrus][u]Cadet Sub Roles[/u][/font][/size][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][sub]~[/sub][/b][/size] [size=4][font=papyrus][b][u]Trainer[/u][/b][/font][/size] You have learned your part and have been promoted to a professional guard level. You have proven your worth to the camp as a cadet and now you have been hand picked by the Lead Guard to be a trainer for the newer cadets coming in. There are only 3 to 4 trainers in each camp, and you happen to be the lucky one. You work directly with the Lead guard as almost their apprentice and will take their place if they are away or have met a terrible fate. You may do this to gain power over other cadets or to just to get closer to the lead position in order to make a difference around here. You know you are of a special breed of cadet and that you must not let your rivalries and rage against the undead cloud your better judgment. You also know that if you make too many false moves you can be stripped of this title, but you think you can bear the weight of this position. You know you are more vital then others may think. You are a pursuer. [size=4][font=papyrus][b][u]Gear Guard[/u][/b][/font][/size] [i]Camp Curala Specific[/i] (Still working on system) You work in Camp Curala, and you are tasked with opening the gates to those who are trying to survive and to slam it down onto any undead or deceitful critter's tail with the thundering blow and lightning quick thunk of the heavy, stone and metal door. You are most likely a snapper, wildclaw, banescale, or other hefty and durable breed, for the soles of your feet are what pushes the petal down to hold the door open after your burly limbs have cranked the chains to open the maw of the beast. You are tasked with a certain day time shift, and you are relied upon to have a good judge of character, and a unique sense of timing. All it takes one split second for a zombie to get through. You are welcoming and social, but reserved enough to hold your peace when it comes to turning away the doomed and the unhealthy. You are the greeter. What better soldier than one that has little concern for their own lives? :D They run on shifts, and normally only concern themselves with the outside when it's their shift. Different camps will have different shift blocks. Now cadets are the base foundation of any fortress for they are the protectors of the camp. They protect the people inside and fight at the gates to prevent those inside from being harmed. They are close allies with Scouts and Seekers, but they are known to have a bit of rivalry with them just for a little fun or stuck up pride. They are allowed to walk around the camps at all times, as long as it's not their shift, and answer to the commanding generals and the trainers of the camp. They are normally young and spry, and are stereotyped as the jocks of the camp, although not are as much tough guy/cool guy as they are sweethearts. Unfortunately, some take this role as an oppurtunity to shove around residents. Fortunately, they are often punished by losing their jobs and getting a time out in the less comfortable quarters of the camp (some camps even have briggs for them to sit around in, while others just punish them like they would in the military, making them stand in uncomfortable positions until their entire body aches for hours afterwards). So there aren't too many trouble makers around town. [b]Camp Curala[/b] - 3 shift system [i]Each shift is around 8 hours, Two 4-hour blocks per shift[/i] [u]Morning Shift[/u] - 12 AM to 7:59 AM [*Morning Block #1 - 12 AM to 3:59 AM*] [*Morning Block #2 - 4 AM to 7:59 AM*] ~ [u]Mid-Day shift[/u] - 8 AM to 3:59 PM [*Mid-Day Block #1 - 8 AM to 11:59 AM*] [*Mid-Day Block #2 - 12 PM to 3:59 PM*] ~ [u]Midnight Shift[/u] - 4 PM to 11:59 PM [*Midnight Block #1 - 4 PM to 7:59 PM*] [*Midnight Block #2 - 8 PM to 11:59 PM*] [i]Hours are usually pushed like this to keep the camp in working order. Those who are on shift are learning to spot enemies from far away and keep their ears open over the howling winds. Some of the first things one learns while beginning taking shifts is to listen for the hoards coming from far off, recognizing native bird calls versus other calls, and memorizing horn blasts. This way their ears are their greatest weapons beyond sight, for the wind carries plenty farther than the eye can.[/i] [b]Camp Runerelic[/b] - 4 shift system [i]Around 6 hours per shift[/i] [u]Dusk shift[/u] - 12:30 AM to 6:29 AM [u]Day shift[/u] - 6:30 AM to 12:29 PM [u]Dawn Shift[/u] - 12:30 PM to 6:29 AM [u]Night Shift[/u] - 6:30 AM to 12:29AM [i]The Dusk shift gets to watch the twighlight in the morning just before they go to their trainng session. Same with the Dawn shift, only they get to watch sunset instead. Those on this shift, despite the ungodly hour, report having the most peaceful shifts out of all the cadets. Once they are on schedule and have shifted their internal clocks, they seem to be more level headed as well. Many push for the day shift, but most enjoy the dusk shift the most simply because of the rising sun to warm their faces and backs.[/i] [b]- What to do when off shift (options) -[/b] Explore the camp. Train with other cadets. Look to see if the hunters need carriers or extra hunters. Say hello to the weapon vet and visit the blacksmith to repair equipment. Keep the peace in the camp. Practice your "fragile masculinity" with other cadets. Help the nurses carry supplies to and from the supply tents. Nap forevers. Consume food in the mess hall and gossip. Eat your foot. Why are you eating your foot? Don't ask me! You're the one with the foot in your mouth. [size=5][b][sub]~[/sub][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][size=4][font=papyrus]How to Play a Trainer[/font][/size][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][sub]~[/sub][/b][/size] Trainers are a little less stupid and on the job. They have ascended from the role of cadet for a reason, reasons will vary between the commanding general (head cadet) of the camp, who may value completely different traits in a Cadet and think you are the prime example. Trainers often let their rank be well known to the cadets, for both dominance and respect. They often feel they have to make it clear they are the alpha for they are simply a rung up from the cadet role. It's not exactly the greatest feeling to be so close to the bottom of the barrel. [b]- What to do when on duty (options) -[/b] Things trainers will be training may also depend on the current environment around the camp they work in and the advantages and disadvantages of the terrain, as a trainer, you can make side training courses that matches your trainer's expertise and their knowledge of the surrounding environment. Don't have any environment specific ideas for training courses, use the basic training courses here. Stretches - warm up Endurance training - build stamina, run or fly in circles, obstacles Strength Training - weight lifting weapons train - variety of weapons (knives, crossbows, spears, swords, shields, etc.) flight combat - train in the sky close combat training - have the players box with each other or you if they don't have a partner (role-player note: try giving the enemies a bit of a match so they can cause all the fun training drama they want during the fight, or pair up good friends so they can have supportive chatter that you can you yell at if you're the grumpy type) Defense training - teach them maneuvers, blocks, and to think on their feet, surprise jabs at them once in a while Survival training - Hunting skills, camouflage, five senses training, stealth training, foraging (what they can and cannot eat), (good time for field work and field trips to places near the camps, best to do it with your more advance classes (i you can't decide which one, default to the first class you teach) [b]Camp Curala[/b] Pick a shift (morning, mid-day, midnight) and train in those 8 hours. Whichever block isn't active in the current shift, train those cadets until the next block/shift is starting (I've them like ten minutes before their shift starts if they have a shift right after training, or don't if you want to be absolutely cruel). This should give each cadet at least 4 hours of training a day, unless they opt to stick around for more training. Also, in this camp, auditory and visual senses, and agile/flexible flight are the most important traits here. So throw in plenty of flying lessons and auditory tests to keep them sharp. [b]Camp Runerelic[/b] Since the shifts are already 6 hours each, pick a shift to train your cadets in. The cadets that come before the shift you choose will be the ones you are training. Work them hard. Also, in this camp, the use of vision and climbing structures is the most vital trait cadets are being trained in in this environment. So add in rope and rock wall climbing and distant signal spotting training when you're bored. [b]- What to do when off duty (options) -[/b] Once your hours are done, then move onto either help the commanding general or relax, eat, sleep, and the basic necessities. You are not to man the gates unless a real battle is happening and they need your help. You are not obligated to assist unless told otherwise/needed. You are obligated to train and act as the general's apprentice and advisor. More generals will be happy to let you do a bit of field work when they cannot to act as their eyes, some are more protective of their trainers since they are basically next in line. If you aren't interested in being on duty, but still want to be productive, check in on cadets who are struggling and give them some advice, offer extra training, or help keep them in line. Check in with the records keeper often so you know where to find the new recruits and how many more heads you have to count in morning role call. Get your training gear fixed up with the blacksmith or have them come down to the grounds so they can fix and mend while you train and instruct. You will want to get most friendly with the camp leaders, the general, the blacksmith, the records keepers, and the farmers. Camp leaders are your ticket to making an even bigger difference. The general is your ticket to field work and keeping your position. Blacksmith are going to have to be friendly or you won't get the best gear like your position commands. Records keepers are going to be more acquaintances who give you the newest recruits, so best to be friendly anyways. Farmers because they are going to come to you for the complaints the most, since it is going to be your cadets who are protecting their harvest and livestock. You might want to keep healthy relationships with rescues too, since they can be new recruits. Scouts and Seekers are going to be your closest allies though, since you work hand in hand. It's ok to have healthy rivalries, but a divided house will not stand. So play nice. [b]How to Play Gear Guards[/b] This role is not yet open to the public for it is a very specific job that can influence the plot. It is simply here for reference. If a slot opens up, I will let you know. [emoji=gear size=1][b]W I P[/b][emoji=gear size=1] [sup]_________________________________________________________________________________[/sup]

~~Cadet~~

You work within the camps alongside the rest of the guard. You are training or have been trained to defend the campsite you found yourself in and you are supported by the numbers and strength of the camp you now live in. You find that in order to survive you must make peace with your differences and work alongside enemies. You are a protector.

~~Cadet Sub Roles~~

Trainer
You have learned your part and have been promoted to a professional guard level.

Gear Guard
Camp Curala Specific
(Still working on system)
You work in Camp Curala, and you are tasked with opening the gates to those who are trying to survive and to slam it down onto any undead or deceitful critter's tail with the thundering blow and lightning quick thunk of the heavy, stone and metal door.

~~How to Play a Cadet~~

Cadets are basically fodder or soldiers and so are normally young and stupid. What better soldier than one that has little concern for their own lives? :D
They run on shifts, and normally only concern themselves with the outside when it's their shift.

Camp Curala - 3 shift system
Each shift is around 8 hours, Two 4-hour blocks per shift
Morning Shift - 12 AM to 7:59 AM
[*Morning Block #1 - 12 AM to 3:59 AM*]
[*Morning Block #2 - 4 AM to 7:59 AM*]
~
Mid-Day shift - 8 AM to 3:59 PM
[*Mid-Day Block #1 - 8 AM to 11:59 AM*]
[*Mid-Day Block #2 - 12 PM to 3:59 PM*]
~
Midnight Shift - 4 PM to 11:59 PM
[*Midnight Block #1 - 4 PM to 7:59 PM*]
[*Midnight Block #2 - 8 PM to 11:59 PM*]
Hours are usually pushed like this to keep the camp in working order. Those who are on shift are learning to spot enemies from far away and keep their ears open over the howling winds. Some of the first things one learns while beginning taking shifts is to listen for the hoards coming from far off, recognizing native bird calls versus other calls, and memorizing horn blasts. This way their ears are their greatest weapons beyond sight, for the wind carries plenty farther than the eye can.

Camp Runerelic - 4 shift system
Around 6 hours per shift
Dusk shift - 12:30 AM to 6:29 AM
Day shift - 6:30 AM to 12:29 PM
Dawn Shift - 12:30 PM to 6:29 AM
Night Shift - 6:30 AM to 12:29AM
The Dusk shift gets to watch the twighlight in the morning just before they go to their trainng session. Same with the Dawn shift, only they get to watch sunset instead. Those on this shift, despite the ungodly hour, report having the most peaceful shifts out of all the cadets. Once they are on schedule and have shifted their internal clocks, they seem to be more level headed as well. Many push for the day shift, but most enjoy the dusk shift the most simply because of the rising sun to warm their faces and backs.

- What to do when off shift (options) -
Explore the camp.

~~How to Play a Trainer~~

Trainers are a little less stupid and on the job.

- What to do when on duty (options) -
Things trainers will be training may also depend on the current environment around the camp they work in and the advantages and disadvantages of the terrain, as a trainer, you can make side training courses that matches your trainer's expertise and their knowledge of the surrounding environment. Don't have any environment specific ideas for training courses, use the basic training courses here.
Stretches - warm up
Endurance training - build stamina, run or fly in circles, obstacles
Strength Training - weight lifting
weapons train - variety of weapons (knives, crossbows, spears, swords, shields, etc.)
flight combat - train in the sky
close combat training - have the players box with each other or you if they don't have a partner (role-player note: try giving the enemies a bit of a match so they can cause all the fun training drama they want during the fight, or pair up good friends so they can have supportive chatter that you can you yell at if you're the grumpy type)
Defense training - teach them maneuvers, blocks, and to think on their feet, surprise jabs at them once in a while
Survival training - Hunting skills, camouflage, five senses training, stealth training, foraging (what they can and cannot eat), (good time for field work and field trips to places near the camps, best to do it with your more advance classes (i you can't decide which one, default to the first class you teach)

Camp Curala
Pick a shift (morning, mid-day, midnight) and train in those 8 hours.

Camp Runerelic
Since the shifts are already 6 hours each, pick a shift to train your cadets in. The cadets that come before the shift you choose will be the ones you are training. Work them hard.
Also, in this camp, the use of vision and climbing structures is the most vital trait cadets are being trained in in this environment. So add in rope and rock wall climbing and distant signal spotting training when you're bored.

- What to do when off duty (options) -
Once your hours are done, then move onto either help the commanding general or relax, eat, sleep, and the basic necessities.

How to Play Gear Guards
This role is not yet open to the public for it is a very specific job that can influence the plot. It is simply here for reference. If a slot opens up, I will let you know.

Surgeons don’t follow the shifts as strictly as nurses do. They are allowed to follow the schedules loosely for their purpose is dealing with the patients most don’t have the stomach for. When a patient is mangled or maimed beyond recognition or needs special surgical procedures in to survive, surgeons are called upon to operate on them. They are normally skilled in modern medicines and a bit of magic, but are usually professionally skilled in only one skill to increase the chances of the patient’s survival. They are not permitted to wander far from the medical tent however, unless a surgeons opts in to take their place so they may roam. As long as they are within range of earshot from the tent or close enough to the tent to be summoned they may leave the Nurse’s quarters. You are a godsend. That's why crowded tents are usually the most chaotic and out of order, because so many supplies are being thrown around to make up for the lost time. Despite the stocks being the least of their concerns in that moment, a nurse must always count the number of ill, dead, and comatose when managing their job. Many are taught how to take mental note of all the wounds and scars they see when they are first handed the ropes of being a nurse. They learn right off the bat where the supplies are, and where the report papers are. Some camps have boards, some have a letter system, some have punch card systems where they come in and tell the doctor their notes before going home. Depends on the camp. When playing a nurse, you MUST help the camp count it's heads, for these numbers will affect the outcome of the story in the long run when it comes to posting numbers in the World Status thread. YES! You're actions count here! So play like you're literally in an apocalypse, because there will be consequences for every action you take! Here is what you must keep track of. Keep in mind these are categories that are mainly based around the patients that walk in that day or are close to leaving that day. [quote][i][b]Nurse's report[/b][/i] [b]Dead[/b] - those who have died before they could reach the tent or died on the surgery table. Preferred you specified if there aren't too many listed. [b]Injured[/b] - how many new injuries were discovered in a day. Name off the types of injuries found so doctors know what might be out there causing them without leaving the safety of the camp. [b]infected[/b] - how many are beginning to show signs and symptoms of infection. If one is acting sluggish and lethargic (suggesting they are entering the second stage), make sure you [i]list them by name, their flight, breed, where they say they come from, wound infected, etc.[/i] to keep track of where this virus is coming from. You never know when a new strain will evolve. [b]Recovering[/b] - those who look to be on a promising journey to recovery and the estimated time of full recovery. Those who survived the surgery table and have escaped infection. [b]Fully Recovered[/b] - Those who left the hospital that day. [/quote] Please list names whenever possible so duplicate numbers are not added up by mistake. You do not need to name all the attributes of the dragon being reported, just their first (and last if given) name under the category they are being reported as. If any categories mix within a patient in some way, make sure to add that by their name as well. @ the player playing the Lead Doctor in the camp you are playing a nurse in and send the report in a quote box that way. Here is the code for the nurse's report.[/center] [code] [b][i]Nurse's Report[/i][/b] [b]Dead[/b]: # Names, name, name, etc. [b]Injured[/b]: # name, name, name, etc. [b]Infected[/b]: # name, name, name, etc. [b]Recovering[/b]: # Names, names, names, NAAAAMES~, [b]Fully Recovered[/b]: # Names, na-names, names, NAMES, [b]Nurse's Notes~[/b] [/code] [center] For doctor's notes, just write about the thoughts of the doctor, any additional notes concerning patients they are particularly worried about, suggestions to make the hospital feel and operate better, or just the overall morale of the hospital and what use some encouragement to add a little more flavor to your report or to address an issue with the Doctor themself. Room for more Play in the Roleplaying! OwO So make this report at the end of every nurse's shift. Nurse's shift will rely on the camp they are in. Once the day is done is when the reports should be filed in for the morning report! [b]Camp Curala[/b] - 3 shift system [i]Each shift is around 8 hours, Two 4-hour blocks per shift[/i] [u]Morning Shift[/u] - 12 AM to 7:59 AM [u]Midnight Shift[/u] - 4 PM to 11:59 PM [i]Nurse's usually work in groups at certain times of the day. They are not normally allowed to rest though, because the sick are needy. Nurses normally make these groups friend groups so they can give each other emotional support, and no two enemies are ever paired with each other. If they can't find a good click, they are normally assigned to keep tabs on the other nurses to keep the Doctor in the loop when a group can't figure out what to do. Those nurses are known as "Clock Keepers", for they work slightly longer shifts than nurse groups do. Newer members assigned by the Record Keeper are usually sent straight to the Doctor so he can quickly show them the ropes. If a surge of injured or dying come in, new nurses are usually advised to stand to the side closer to the doctor's lab so he can call upon them, ask for their profession, and send them into action. Those with advanced healing magic are assigned to the far corner where the worst off are, while those with little practice or modern medicine are sent to take care of those coming in with battle wounds or bite marks, normally zombie attacks.[/i] [b]Camp RuneRelic[/b] [size=5][b][sub]~[/sub][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][size=4][font=papyrus]How to Play a Surgeon[/font][/size][size=6][sub]~[/sub][/size][sub]~[/sub][/b][/size] Surgeons are a lot more thick-skinned and backboned then most nurses. Nurses are usually recruits with minimal experience under their belts. The surgeon, however, is a skilled healer who has lasted long enough to arrive at a camp and offered their advanced services. You are used to blood, gore, and pain. You are used to seeing a dragon’s insides and having to deal with breaking to them the hard news. Some may call you cold at times, but you aren’t what you seem to be. You are just doing your job. You are highly respected by both doctor and nurse, and you are seen as almost second in command. If you think something is better for a patient then a nurse does, you will most likely get the final say, but there is no guarantee unless they are your patient. You are given the room and space to operate, and you are heavily relied upon by all. You also [b]train[/b] the other nurses when you have the time for it. You are often asked for your opinion on a case whenever one is stumped. You are expected to know the faces of most nurses and recognize newbies because of your ability and expectation to train and welcome in newbies, so you are well versed with the faces of many. You are also an observer. You observe others’ skills and methods to help assign the best nurses to the more severe or delicate cases, but all the worst ones are left to you. When a patient is critical and needs special attention, a nurse is sent to run to you and get you out of bed to come assist immediately. You are then summoned to the Critical Corner (the CC) portion of the tent, where all the critical and the forsaken patients are sent. They are usually the ones that are maimed, need surgeries, on the brink of death, or at extreme risk of infection. You must deal with these very fragile patients while nurses take care of the majority. Hopefully for you, there aren’t many. You are required to document these critical patients for one reason; infecteds. These are those who might be beyond cleaning out to prevent infection, and those who will be more prone to being zombified even with the medical care. Surgery in an unsanitary world such as this is risky in more than just the surgery itself. Not everything can be cleaned effectively without damaging the insides, and there is no set sanitary area for them to be operated in. ~~Nurse~~

You help the doctors in each camp get closer to finding a cure and heal the wounded to nurse them back to health. You are trained or in training to be a healer and either use magic or modern medicine. You are a kind hearted soul and you care for others and rarely leave your enemies to fester, no matter how much you dislike them. You are a peacekeeper.

~~Nurse Sub Roles~~

Surgeon
Surgeons are an advanced type of nurse, and very hard to get a hold of.

~~How to Play a Nurse~~

Nurses must document everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that goes on in the medical tent.

Quote:
Nurse's report
Dead - those who have died before they could reach the tent or died on the surgery table. Preferred you specified if there aren't too many listed.
Injured - how many new injuries were discovered in a day. Name off the types of injuries found so doctors know what might be out there causing them without leaving the safety of the camp.
infected - how many are beginning to show signs and symptoms of infection. If one is acting sluggish and lethargic (suggesting they are entering the second stage), make sure you list them by name, their flight, breed, where they say they come from, wound infected, etc. to keep track of where this virus is coming from. You never know when a new strain will evolve.
Recovering - those who look to be on a promising journey to recovery and the estimated time of full recovery. Those who survived the surgery table and have escaped infection.
Fully Recovered - Those who left the hospital that day.

Please list names whenever possible so duplicate numbers are not added up by mistake.

Here is the code for the nurse's report.
Code:
[b][i]Nurse's Report[/i][/b] [b]Dead[/b]: # Names, name, name, etc. [b]Injured[/b]: # name, name, name, etc. [b]Infected[/b]: # name, name, name, etc. [b]Recovering[/b]: # Names, names, names, NAAAAMES~, [b]Fully Recovered[/b]: # Names, na-names, names, NAMES, [b]Nurse's Notes~[/b]
For doctor's notes, just write about the thoughts of the doctor, any additional notes concerning patients they are particularly worried about, suggestions to make the hospital feel and operate better, or just the overall morale of the hospital and what use some encouragement to add a little more flavor to your report or to address an issue with the Doctor themself. Room for more Play in the Roleplaying! OwO

So make this report at the end of every nurse's shift. Nurse's shift will rely on the camp they are in. Once the day is done is when the reports should be filed in for the morning report!

Camp Curala - 3 shift system
Each shift is around 8 hours, Two 4-hour blocks per shift
Morning Shift - 12 AM to 7:59 AM
Midnight Shift - 4 PM to 11:59 PM
Nurse's usually work in groups at certain times of the day. Those with advanced healing magic are assigned to the far corner where the worst off are, while those with little practice or modern medicine are sent to take care of those coming in with battle wounds or bite marks, normally zombie attacks.

Camp RuneRelic

~~How to Play a Surgeon~~

Surgeons are a lot more thick-skinned and backboned then most nurses.
You also train the other nurses when you have the time for it.

Your best bet is either the magical or sanitized barrier around you keeping the sights in, and the virus out… hopefully.
So, in order to keep track of who might be the most easily infected and the ones who should be watched with the closest eyes, fill this form out whenever you are done operating on a patient.

Hunger is just the thing to drive the corpse forwards, but the real goal is too spread the disease. So most zombies won't eat the entire corpse, even though their stomachs tell them too. The virus locks the body into hunger mode, but it contaminates the brain enough to control locomotives enough to stop the meal in the hopes it spreads. If zombies are hungry enough, they will eat the whole corpse in the hopes to last a little longer until the next victim, but most likely they will turn their noses up to long-gone and rotten corpses in the hopes that it will walk with them soon. That is how the virus "thinks". Spread, then eat. Spread, then eat. Eating is almost like a last resort in cases where there are many around them, but they can't help but grab a snack. You can sacrifice zombies as much as you like, but please be realistic with how many are there at a given time. If you are saying there is a whole other wave coming, please keep in mind that I will give the camp a few days to let people get started again or recover from an attack before I do any waves. I will be controlling the waves. You will be controlling the small hoards that come in and out on occasion to spice up the rp. When you play as a zombie or multiple zombies, keep in mind that the players most likely don't want to die right away. So ask before you inflict severe fatal damage to a certain player, things such as torn limbs, maiming, or killing. If you do so without asking and the player expresses that they don't feel totally comfortable with it and want it to be changed so they can die the way they want to, please respect their decision and lessen the severity of the blow by editing the original message so they may take it from there. I will be doing my best to monitor these interactions to help regulate how much is changed or continued to prevent players from twisting your arm to always lose to their characters. I do want to encourage people here to let their characters die and take heavy blows when it is the most realistic outcome, although I will allow some wiggle room if they are particularly attached to a character or don't have any others in play.

~~How to Play a Zombie~~

Your Character
If you are a zombie character, then, depending on the stage you are in, you'll act a certain way.

Stage 3
You are a husk that is no longer your body, and only a little but of your consciousness is left (let's say like 10%). That 10% of you left is only able to recognize dragons you are strongly connected to through some sort of memory trigger, whether that trigger be smell, touch, hearing, visual, or taste. ( I would HOPE that you don't know what your mom or your best friend tastes like. That just sounds wrong. :/ So maybe they chuck a pie at you and their cooking is what you taste. This instance where you remember them can buy them some time, but only if you have a strong enough connection to them to really be able to make one final fight against your brain invader for them to get away. After that, it's all subconscious for your brain is most likely exhausted. So, if you do happen to remember them more than once, it's because it's still early enough in the third stage for that to make an impact on your brain before you die and let the virus take over.

Stage 4
Any memories of the life you had before are GONE. POOF. NAY. ZIP. ZERO. ZILCH. You are nothing but a hungry corpse. Think of it this way. You are no longer playing as a dragon, you are the virus, and as the virus what is the one thing you are meant to do? Spread. You must feed your body so it can continue to patch itself up and feed the muscles and virus so that you can dig into something new to spread the virus. This is your very last chance to croak out a goodbye and admit you were foolish or anything else you would like to say. After you wake up and revive, you won't be completely there and everything will feel like a dream to you. Your body won't feel like your own and you will stumble amongst friends. Your skin is sunken in dramatically at this point and your sweat will become slimy. You will stumble about as everyone flees from you and you will be confused as to why they are running from you, despite you having the need to eat anything that moves. You will ask yourself why they don't want to be bitten or why they are afraid. Although when your brain tells you to chomp your friend, it will suddenly feel wrong and you will feel trapped enough to resist the urge. You might run away from them, a bit of your past self telling you something is wrong in the back of your head, and you will be more like a concerned and startled horse than a dragon with friends and families to take care of. You will react badly to any sort of gesture of violence against you and any weapon will suddenly be the scope to lock onto the opposer. You will attack anything that seems like a threat first in either a hit and run tactic or a shoot for the kill tactic. You still feel pain, so you are more aware of when something is hurting you, but once you get your jaws around something, you won't want to let go unless you know them personally and recognize them in the back of your mind. Although if someone you know is trying to hurt you or seems to be on the side of any of the attackers, you will still feel a sense of betrayal and will most likely attack them as well. Think of yourself as de-evolving into monkey. You are now more animal focussing on survival than an intelligent being who logically thinks out the situation. Act like a startled animal. If you've seen the first How To Train Your Dragon movie, act like Toothless and Hookfang when they were attacked by the other vikings after being showed kindness from Hiccup. They go immediately on the defense and will do anything to keep those weapons away from them. [sup]_________________________________________________________________________________[/sup]

~~How to Play an Infected~~

Stage 1
You most likely know about the injury that is infected, or suspect it to be, but you aren't sure, and you most likely did not get to clean it properly in time to prevent the infection. You are most likely guilty for having it, afraid people will kill you if they find out, or do other nasty things to learn more about it. You suddenly don't trust the doctor, and most likely refuse to visit them every time. You keep the infected wound hidden by apparel items and will protect your secret with your life. You will either never say a word until its too late too, or you will need coaxing to try and find help. You may question whether being inside a camp is a good idea, or if you'll ever be allowed in. You are torn between staying with your loved ones or fleeing to somewhere very far away where you can transform and die in peace. That is if the infected wound is showing the proper symptoms described in Stage 1.
If you want to be oblivious, be oblivious. You are unaware it is there. Scratching might be the only symptom you have if any. You might not even feel the wound that is infected until too late. You don't feel like yourself and you aren't sure why.

Stage 2
You are beginning to feel excessive fits of pain and you are now very much certain you are infected. No normal infection can create such headaches and migraines like this one does. You are more irritable, weak, and more likely to be defensive. You aren't thinking clearly, and so you will most likely act strange while you're easily overwhelmed. People may suspect that you are infected, and you are conscious about that. You aren't doing your job correctly, and you stumble a lot. You may eat a lot, but you aren't showing it. You will feel your stomach begin to know at your insides, driving you to eat or to refuse food, and above all cause you to randomly think of biting the dragon next to you. You begin to feel strange, and if you are aware of what is happening, you may have to decide between staying or leaving. It's all up to you.

Stage 3
You are coming to the end of your sanity's wick and you are losing yourself in the hunger and pain. Before you pass out and revive, you will be frantic and will most likely panic. Everything feels like its going wrong or you are now beginning to realize you are running out of time. Fight or Flight is overwhelming you and you will either have the need to fly as far away as possible in a last attempt to save those you care for or you will give into the virus and hide somewhere dark and quiet to make the transformation easier.
~~How to Play a Blacksmith~~

I see blacksmiths as a wider type of personality. Anybody can be a blacksmith really and act in the ways they want to, since their job is mostly muscle memory and the understanding of certain materials and how they work. Despite blacksmith being seen as big brutes how just pound the systems they want into existent and are good for any strength based labor, blacksmith must also be intelligent and understanding of the items and metals they are working with. In this roleplay, blacksmith have multiple skills and roles in the forge, and each blacksmith will either be doing multiple kinds of blacksmithing or hone in on one skill and let the other blacksmith pick up the slack in other areas.

Lines of Work/Professions
Please list within abilities! This will help me figure out what they identify with the best!

Weapon's smith
(Please know I will do more research into what metals are best for what weapons later in the future. For now, this is what I theorize is best for certain types of weaponry.)
The most basic job, creating and fine tuning weapons. They are skilled in weapon repair, creation, decoration, sharpening, restoring, recycling, and tuning. They are skilled with the hammer and know everything about every metal one could encounter in the blacksmith market. They will know which materials are best for different uses of swords. They know how hot a certain type of metal needs to be when shaping it, how fast is too fast when calling with the water bucket, which materials are best for the handle and hilt, what metals can be used to fill in chips and cracks, what parts can be recycled and what can't be, and when a weapon is too far gone to repair.

Metal-smithing
These guys are more tuned into how to make parts for shields, armor, and parts for contraptions such as iron walls, exterior vehicle and war machine armor, and structures such as smoke stacks and cage bars. They are more various with the different things they can shape metal into and are more precise on how to bend the metal to a perfect curve or how to trim metals with precision. Weapon-smithing must come first before they learn to do things like these, unless they are just hammering a slab of metal to be a certain thickness.

Mechanic

Inventor and Crafter
These are an extension of the mechanic's line of work where they are skilled in electricity, which is more than just cog and gear functions. They are more likely to be able to fix automatons and robotic creatures, and program things to work a certain way. They are familiar with hydraulics (using fluids and liquids in pistons), air compression (same as hydraulics but with air), wiring, circuitry, engineering, and other more science based things.
