@JustAGamerFurry2 I'll start once you give the character details, I'm curious of who they are.
TOPIC | Hollow Knight [1x1 JustAGamerFurry2]
aight here's a thing.
Name: Wing
Pronouns: they/them
Age: god only knows. they've been around since before Hallownest fell though.
Appearance: an adult vessel (or so they think, eheh...though they really do look like a vessel), the top of their head (around the base of their horns) would reach to about THK's chin. they have two main pairs of horns that curl around each other, as well as a set of leaf-shaped prongs on the sides of their head. they wear a old, black cloak and weild an old, damaged needle. Wing's most defining feature is their namesake, two pairs of large wings based between their shoulders. these wings are so large that when relaxed, the ends drag on the ground behind Wing.
Wing themself has their fair share of battle scars as well, most of which are faint and from long ago.

@JustAGamerFurry2 (are you subbed at all?)
Orange veins weaved through the vines as squits flew about, waiting to attack. The atmosphere of Greenpath was quiet, exception of the creatures nearby. Then, veins of orange slowly went black, infected animals started dropping like flies, and a screech rang through out Hallownest, reaching all the way from the Resting Grounds to Deepnest.
The tight hole the false vessel crawled through threatened to cave in behind, and when they got out they saw a lush green cavern before them. There were pillars of stone, and a ledge they could barely put their hand on top of it. There was another vessel nearby with a nail in its head, clearly dead. There was a tunnel on the side opposite of the ledge where more foliage grew, and the ledge also opened up into a tunnel, also full of greenery.

(yeah, twas just off at the time)
It had been a long time since Wing had come to Greenpath. The memories made here had turned bittersweet as the Infection took over Hallownest.
Now though, something had changed. As they watched an orange vein turn black, as they heard a screech echo through the caverns, a thought surfaced in their mind.
It's gone.
The realization alone was enough, but the knowledge that the souls of the damned could finally rest in peace...it was like a weight had been lifted off their shoulders. The charm half pinned to their cloak, not very noticeable unless you knew it was there, glowed softly for a split second, then dimmed.
They'll be reunited now, wherever they are.
I wish I was with them. I should be with them.
These thoughts began to take hold of their mind as they glanced at their fallen sibling, one they never knew.
(don't expect me to write long replies like this all the time plz. I can't)
(and as far as anyone knows, Wing is a true vessel. not even Wing themself knows their true nature)

As the vessel pondered on their fallen sibling, another, significantly smaller, screech came from the tunnel above the ledge. A squit had flown in, seeming very confused and lost. It ignored the vessel, flying close to the ceiling. There was no infection in its eyes, likely meaning it was one of the rare survivors. It also looks heavily scarred and hurt.

Wing looked up, seeing the injured Squit. They weren't sure how to get it down, and flying up to it would likely only scare the poor thing more. They wished they could make some kind of noise, some kind of call to try and lure it down, but they never had a voice.
Out of instinct, they rubbed their wings together. This didn't make any noise, but the Squit may notice the movement.

(Forgot I have to hit the submit button)
The squit watched the vessel carefully, confused. Distracted, it fell from the ceiling, hitting the floor. It quickly got up, trying to crawl away from the vessel it landed next to. The squit collapsed after a few seconds, exhausted.

Wing gently picked up the Squit, sitting down on their knees and cupping it in their hands so that it didn't feel trapped. Carefully, they began to use soul to heal the Squit's wounds.
They didn't know why they were better at using sou to heal others, but it was just something they'd never questioned. It wasn't like anyone could give them answers. After all, there weren't many bugs left in Hallownest.

(I promise posts will become more consistent.)
The Squit didn't move, feeling defeat until it was healed. Looking up to the vessel confused, it flew into the air. It landed on the vessel's horn, seeming much happier. The dead veins in the foliage above began to run with black. Investigation may be needed...

As the Squit flew up to perch on their horn, you could almost imagine Wing smiling. They looked up at the foliage above and saw the dead vines running with black, weirdly enough.
"Hang on, little guy." they said to the Squit, despite the fact they knew it couldn't hear them. They got up to their feet and looked for a good way to climb up.
(that speech in italics is my headcanon on how a vessel could 'talk'. however, this aptly named Void speech is something only bugs associated with Void can hear, i.e. vessels, Kingsmoulds, possibly the Pale King considering he canonically experimented with Void.)
