Jazmine's gaze shifted nervously over the crowd. The people around her didn't seem to mind her presence, although a few uncertain looks were shot her way. The fire had only happened a few months ago, and it already seemed like the Guild was closing in. But that could have been because she was paranoid.
Jazmine hadn't been able to run far. For one thing, running herself into the ground and collapsing was a bad idea, leaving her vulnerable to attack. For another, soldiers were advancing and circling the region, detaining suspicious individuals, keeping Jazmine pinned down for the moment. If she tried to run with soldiers around, they'd think something was up. It didn't help that she was stealing just to stay alive. Nothing much- Just a loaf of bread here, a coin purse there. Anything that kept her going for one more day.
Jazmine cast an uncertain glance behind her, sure she had seen someone watching her. (either imagination or open for interaction, either is fine with me.)
Rick kept an eye on the crowd, feeling safe in his disguise. He had no reason to think that someone would recognize him, at least not right away. His host, only a few miles away, was paranoid that someone from the Guild had followed. She was right, to an extent. Rick wasn't sure if there was anyone else, but he didn't care.
Rick's hand rested instinctively on his knife, his mele weapon of choice. A few people shied away from him as they got close, but Rick paid them no mind. He was waiting, at least for now.
Nala ran her thumb over the hilt of her weapon in the Guild training grounds. She hadn't actually been assigned to track down the escapees until recently. The Guildmaster was getting more and more agitated that they hadn't been caught, and was shoving more and more people at the task. She sighed, sheathing the blade.
The Guild had a few leads, but it was hard to tell what was heresy and what was a fact. Nala was under the assumption that the escapees had scattered, none of them really planning with the others on a plan of any sort. It struck her that they had simply run at the first chance and that none of them had known anyone else managed to get out.
