@Slayer; expanding your lair is a long-term goal, something you have to work towards, something you have to earn/achieve. Especially with dragons being able to breed infinitely, restraining you in how many you can hold creates a trade-off that you need to make. Believe me expansions will be even more expensive in the future (my next expansion will cost more than one million) but once you get the hang of the game, treasure can be earned easy enough c:

additionaly from the game-makers' point of view there are a lot of ways that generate treasure out of nothing, the fairegrounds, the coliseum, familiars, dragons (exalting them can create a lot of treasure).. On the other hand, there are only few things that will take the treasure out of the game. Most items in the marketplace can be also found on chests, meaning you don't necessarily have to buy them. Usually, they are also cheaper on the AH, meaning treasure will only shift from one player to another during a transaction. Both gene/breed scrolls and the expansions are important treasure sinks to keep the amount of treasure on site stable and not cause huge inflations.. They are simply necessary

Also no support.

Like most things, lair space is something that should be worked for, a goal. It's also a lesson not to go to nuts early on.
