Inque Dragons! Eel/snake/that derp-y new snake/butterfly familiar inspired, along with maybe that cave-dweller critter. And before anyone asks. Yes I saw the slight similarity to Orange04's Reefstalker dragons, and I asked them before I posted this if it was ok to do so. They agreed so here they are.
First up, the species name is up for change. I couldn't think of anything else because I have fondly started calling them "Ink blobs" in my head.

What I picture these quys look like as hatchlings.

Inque male concept
the picture above is a concept of what I think the males of the species will look like. I make a few mistakes(face structure is off, hind leg anatomy is off), but over-all this is probably the way it's going to stick.

Here's what I was thinking(pictured above). And below is basically the same picture with some of the breed's ideas and some close ups on some of their features.
Here's what I was thinking about breed info
Species name: Inque dragons(subject to change, any ideas?)
Shadow-natives
Species origin: They came fromShadowmama'sShadowbinder's dripping, goo-y stuff. They were kinda some sort of accident and the Shadowbinder may, or may not be, a bit disappointed that one of her dragons came out looking a bit silly. But hey, what Inque dragons lack in fierce looks they make up with trickery.
Species info;
-About 5-8 meters long
-They produce slime, which helps them squeeze into small places and/or helps them to escape predator's grasps.(Or helps them get away from the angry victims of their pranks.....)
-Chubby-puddgy things
-they have smooth skin instead of scales
-they can "squish"-like a turtle does with its neck, except Inque dragons can do it with the majority of their bodies. Making them perfect to hide in places other dragons wouldn't suspect and pop out to give passer-byers a scare.
-Long thick tail that usually drags on the ground.
-possible semi-translucent wing-skin/"frill things"?(might change this)
-Lizard paws mixed with cat paws-meaning lizard-looking paws with possible cat-like pads at the bottom of their feet(perfect for sneaking)
-Small, round fangs. Better for gripping things rather that shredding them.(Also it makes their fangs harder to see at distances, hence not really seeing them in the main picture)
-Females are the more "dominate" of the sexes. They have more frills(picture above are most likely what the females look like), and are slightly larger than the males.(Females; 7-8 meters, while males are 5-6 meters). (Legend suggests that the reason behind the females of the species being more dominate is that Shadowbinder, being a female deity, decided to show a bit of favoritism towards the females of the species [suggested by Kismet])
-Hatchlings have frills as a defense mechanism. Tricking predators/things that will them ill into thinking they are a female and larger than they actually are(as the females are known for being the more aggressive of the two). As the hatchlings grow the female's frills will grow more prominent, while the male's stay about the same size as they grow.
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Name suggestions;
-Inkra(suggested by KuribohPalkia [3rd page])
-Slyth(suggested by Yugi [3rd page])
-Inkling(suggested by Jokes [3rd page])
-Ilt(suggested by FactoryScience [4th page])
-Inco or Inqo(suggested by TigerDragon1001 [23rd page])
Questions for you guys
1)I've been thinking about differentiating between the male and female of the species. Like One having more "frills" than the other, or something like that. Yay or nay?
((Sorry about the scrolling I don't know how to fix that))
