TOPIC | Food "Lock"
Please ping all responses addressed to me!
What is it?
I would like a way to lock which kinds of food each dragon can eat. For example, lets say I have an imperial. He can eat insects, meat, seafood, and plants. If this lock was created, I could go to his "profile" (dragon page) and select what I allow him to eat and the priority*. If I checked meat and plants, he could still eat anything (if I changed the check boxes), but the check boxes would currently only let him eat plants and meat. When I click the feed button, he will only consume meat and plants, in order of priority.

*If I have checked off more than one food group, I can prioritize which he will eat first if both exist.

Why?
I like to keep all my food groups stocked in case I get any dragons for holding and such. Unfortunately, most of my dragons can eat insects and always prioritize to insects. I feel that other players would appreciate the benefit of this too. As an added bonus, the dragons are, by default, set as they currently are (the imperial from before would be just as he is now). It would also be great for any RP clans. For example, a vegan guardian could exist, and really only eat plants!

I support randomizing the omnivores but not custom-picking their diet.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
Personally I'd prefer to see that that omnivore diets get randomized, possibly taking in account the amount of food stores and the order of preferences.

By order of preferences I mean:
--If they only eat one type of food they will eat that 100% of the time.
--If they eat two types of food they will eat the first food 66% of the time and the second food 33%.
--If they eat three types of food they would eat the first food 50% of the time, the second food 30% of the time and the third food 20% of the time.
--If they eat all food's they'd eat the first 40% of the time, the second 30%, the third 20%, and the last 10% of the time.

As for the adjustment according to the weight it'd be something like below.
For a species that eats everything:
--Most abundant +10%
--Second most abundant +5%
--Third most abundant -5%
--Least abundant -10%

If they ever add a species that eats three foods the adjustments would be:
--Most abundant +10%
--Least abundant - 10%
--No change for the food in the middle

If it eats two foods
--Most abundant +10%
--Least abundant -10%

And again single food types would be always that food type.

If this was added, and since I currently have 2732 insects, 2237 seafood, 900 plants and 37 meat, the percentages for guardians would shift to 30% Meat, 35% Seafood, 30% insects, 5% plants. And in the case of my mirrors they would eat meat 56.7% of the time and seafood 43.3% of the time.

Yes, support. Different tastes for different dragons.

My guardians just eat meat all the time. They're forfeiting their privilege of variety!

@Valemora @gemajgall
I guess, if you have omnivore type pets, you have to feed them incects, meat, vegies, and fish if you have those around your place huh? Or do you feed them pet food?

It's perfectly easy controlling the diet of anything you control. I could have fed my dog nothing but meat if I wanted. She wouldn't have complained.
