As simple as it sounds, I was leading a good friend of mine through registration because she got really interested in "the dragon's game", to discover that she wasn't able to access the Predict Morphology tool if she hasn't created her progens, and this sounds kinda unpractical?
I mean, I understand the fact of not letting new registered people to wander over some parts of the site until they finish the registration and create their dragons; but in her case (as in many others), I kinda consider that being able to use the Predict Morphology tool to actually check how the dragon they are creating will look with some genes, or in some other breed that's not one of the basic ones, will not ruin anything for them. In fact most of them would be more interested in the game, if they realize that they can actually work hard on getting money and making their progens look more beautiful than when they started.
It'll also help those ones that are in a contradiction in between some shades of colors, like they could actually pick the shade that would look with a certain gene (in their view) and be done with it, instead of just picking it randomly to then discover that said shade is not that good in most of the genes.
As for how to do it, I do understand that a change like this could get some people confused, but if we would simply add a warning can help.

It can also have a second part specifying that Imperial scrolls are not available anymore because they were a special gift for the ones hat helped in the creation of the site.

I have no reason not to support this. I think it would also be cool to have Predict Morphology available not logged in, since some parts of the site are already this way. Could be useful/fun for folks waiting to register :)

I would have loved to have been able to do this when I was creating my custom progen! If I'd had the option, I would have chosen a different primary color.

What about even a sort of "preview" of the site? Maybe one of the fairgrounds games, scrying workshop, etc.
People who are waiting on the next window could play with that a bit.

Personally, I feel like creating your progens is essentially "Signing the dotted line" that you've joined FR. It could be a way honestly to prevent random people from coming on the site and stealing the art.
I worry FR will become the a hub for people just wanting to create a Dragon avatar and not play the site. The art will be all over the place, and the site won't actually be gaining anything even though the server load will be much heavier.

Why not have a simple version of the Predict Morphology included when creating the dragon? It can have the 4 common breeds, and the 3 colours + genes, you can state somewhere that the genes are separate

I think adding some more things for users to get a preview of what the site is like is always great. it would have to be done in a way that the user clearly understands that they are not getting a fully gened dragon off the bat, but I could support this.

This is actually a good idea. Now whether the site could handle the load of that, I don't know. It would have been something I would have used when I signed up.

Support - I would have never picked maize or storm if I'd known how horrible they looked gened. I would have probably chosen ivory/another blue instead.
