It occured to me while familiar bonding that after they reach 'Awakened", there isn't much for the familiars to do. 50 a day is alright, but we get more than that from regular bonding, with the treasure chests that come with it. I was also skipping the Encyclopedia for lore, when something from the Longnecks entry caught me eye.
While it is unclear why younger generations of Longneck are becoming more hostile, the mystery may lie in the most hidden away of their settlements: a legendary valley of steep cliffs, harsh edges, and close quarters. Dragonkind has not yet infiltrated or even located this most secretive of abodes. Many dragons are too large to fit through the heavily-guarded cracks in the hillside labyrinth that are thought to lead there. Those smaller dragons that can find themselves in close quarters with a hostile enemy, and are swiftly driven out. Whether or not the Longneck are planning a revolution remains unknown.
My suggestion is this: Assuming the familiars are smaller than the dragons, once they reach 'Awakened" we can send them on scouting missions into the Longneck settlements where they would be able to steal items and supplies(a random item or food ie: Skirmisher Pack)

This is an awesome idea! It reminds me of another petsite I used to play where we could send the pets out into the wild to forage for things and they'd come back hours later with something interesting... or nothing at all! It was a fun little side thing, I'd love to see it used here.

Question though:
Are you suggesting that familiars currently on a dragon are allowed to go too, or just Awakened familiars in the Bestiary?

A neat idea!

My only concern is how many familiars can go in at a time? Some users have almost all of their familiars awakened an with new ones being added every few weeks that number will continue to grow. Will there be a limit in place (max 5 familiars can go a day?)

I support the idea but some things should be in place so it isn't abused :)

@FriskyDingo
Just the familiars actually attached.

@IvoryFrost
There would most likely be a limit.
5 does sound like a good number to me.

@Blackaavar Support! It could work for other situations too! Like the tooltip for [item =silver ferret] says they can be trained to steal from rival clans!

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
Support! I would love this! Maybe some items you can only get from doing this? It would certainly get more people to bond!

Support! I like the tradeoff of only attached familiars being able to go, since you have to forgo a spot to level up a new familiar, it keeps it balanced.

A use for old familiars... I like it.

Support! Maybe we could even go as far as to have a dungeon crawling game with awakened familiars as an alternative for farming for people who hate the coliseum?
