Added lots of new art of various concepts, enjoy!
Was looking at my lovely halfmoon siamese fighting fish/betta this morning and I thought to myself "this would make an awesome FR dragon!" Betta's are such beautiful fish and I think they'd make a great base for a dragon breed.
@Silverin 's concept looks far better than my old one so I've put that up to replace my old ones for now. This would be a male, females would have smaller fins/crests.

I think either the Veiltail, Halfmoon or Crowntail variety would be the best choice to uses as the basis for tail type. While it would be cool to have a tail type breeding system somehow that would probably be impossible to work into the site as it is. Perhaps tail varieties could be done via apparel? Then other breeds could have glorious flowing Veiltails too! XD
They'd be from Water, obviously, and probably be fish (maybe meat and/or insect) eaters. Behaviour wise you could base it off of betta fish too, so if mine are anything to go by, flashy, aggressive, intelligent and greedy! lol I think in the coli they'd be physical attackers, fast but fairly frail.
I'd love to see some other interpretations of the idea, or for people to hash out details. Do you think a betta inspired dragon is a good idea, would you have one?! :D

I've played around with the design a lot, but of course I don't have any way to do digital art so it never looks very nice lol. Here are some different designs of the breed I've done. With all of the following designs, the tail base would probably need extending a little bit, to make the tails apparel compatible.
Female, with underbelly gene.
Male (Crowntail fins) with tiger and speckle.
Another slightly different design, with a more betta shaped head.
