Dear Flightrising Staff: You guys are great at your jobs, or artists are super creative, and this site get's better all the time. HOWEVER, there is a biiit of a problem with your apparel; This being that the vast majority of (ignoring neutral colors such as cream and brown) it is largely: Greyscale Pink/red Blue or Purple. From the Lace to the rose thorns, to the bows, to even the steampunk sets...the only other colors that seem to show up is the occasional dark green, and gold if one is feeling creative. So what is the problem, you might as? The problem is that dragons on this site are not ONLY grayscale, Pink/Red, Blue, or Purple. One of the most popular colors on this site, for example, is Seafoam. Seafoam has been popular since the site began. My nearly four-year-old Custom Progen has seafoam wings. On all of FR, which has been up for a couple years now, out of 1913 peices of apparel... ...only 6 somewhat match one of the most popular colors on this site. And The Greens, though the lighter greens are neglected...are LUCKY compared to the ORANGES, and any shade of yellow that is not gold. Come on, guys. YOU CAN DO BETTER THEN THIS. [s]Also that new apparel? The neck peice? On female fae's? IT IS NOT OK.[/s] [s]It falls lower on the necks of male faes and looks ok on THEM why is it only the ladies where it highlights how weird their necks are? WHY???[/s] Thread edited by @JCStitches in accordance with the Rules and Guidelines, which prohibit the discussion of websites that break Flight Rising's Terms of Use.

@PuffFluffN I agree FR should include more apparel items with colors like orange, light blue, light green and bright yellow, and possibly armor sets with colors other than white/gold/silver/black. (and some of the new apparel does an ok job of that).

Yes, I was thinking about this the other day.

I'd kind of like some form of custom apparel feature? Maybe, you get a PSD file of the clothing, you colour it and can submit it with a blueprint - just as you would with skins and accents.
Completely custom user submitted drawn clothing is something else I'd love to see but I doubt that will ever happen

Anyway, more variety of colours is something I will always support
the most popular colors on your site.
Ahahah seafoam is quite popular, but I wouldn't say it's the MOST popular I don't see it personally. Lets look at the most recent apparel SETS (except the one they just released) they've released. Bolded are colours that are not shares of red/blue/purple/pink, winch you say we don't have enough of, Italicized are sets that are non-monochromatic, and underlined are sets that feature contrasting colours The thorn regalia has: [item=Sepia Rose Thorn Banner] Brown with some little Green details. I don't think only a few colours are getting all the love. Yes, some need a bit more (Looking at you orange) All of the four most recent sets seem to have a verity of colours, and many pieces are non-monochromatic. If anything, I'd like to see a bit less contrast. Or at-least a set that doesn't come out with a red/orange and blue combo.

I don't see it personally. Lets look at the most recent apparel SETS (except the one they just released) they've released. Bolded are colours that are not shares of red/blue/purple/pink, winch you say we don't have enough of, Italicized are sets that are non-monochromatic, and underlined are sets that feature contrasting colours

The thorn regalia has:
Sepia Rose Thorn Banner Brown with some little Green details. Mostly monochromatic
Poisonous Rose Thorn Banner Dark Green with purple accents, small yellow details. 3 distinct colours
Twilight Rose Thorn Banner Purple with brown accents. 2 distinct colours
Sanguine Rose Thorn Banner Red with grey accents, small green details. 3 distinct colours
Pristine Rose Thorn Collar White with slight off-white accents. Mostly monochromatic

Bowman's Hat Off-white with grey-blue accents. 2 distinct colours
Scout's Hat Green/Brown with yellow accents. 2 distinct colours
Deadeye's Hat Off-green, Brown with yellow accents. 3 distinct colours
Marksman's Hat Off-green, yellow with blue accents. 2 distinct colours
Ranger's Hat Green/Brown 2 distinct colours
Hunter's Hat Blue with jadeaccents Mostly monochromatic
Pathfinder's Hat Red and blue with white accents 3 distinct colours
Archer's Hat Brown with purple and white accents. 2 distinct colours
Toxophilite's Hat Red and purple, 2 distinct colours

Antique Lace Ribbons Blue/Off-white 2 distinct colours
Buttercup Lace Ribbons Blue/yellow 2 distinct colours
Sepia Lace Ribbons Light pink Dark brown mostly monochromatic
Ash Lace Ribbons Blue white 2 distinct colours
Sweetheart Lace Ribbons Ligth pink/ dark pink mostly monochromatic
Pastel Lace Ribbons Pink and purple 2 distinct colours
Moonlight Lace Ribbons Purple and white 2 distinct colours
Black Lace Ribbons Black and red 2 distinct colours

So the long and the short? I don't think only a few colours are getting all the love. Yes, some need a bit more (Looking at you orange) All of the four most recent sets seem to have a verity of colours, and many pieces are non-monochromatic.

@Frye In addition, I am not saying that more multiple color items are needed, (more on that below), but rather that certain colors, (lighter greens, oranges in general, and bright yellows) often are neglected. I would enjoy it if they utilized a larger variation of colors in the apparel. That's all.^^ @CalibulaBlushed User designed apparel, or even a user-coloring contest for the apparel, would be AMAZING, and would add to the player-involvement on the site...however, I doubt it will ever happen. [s]one can only dream[/s] @SilverLately I apologize for not being clear: what people typically call "Greyscale" is that I regard as "Monochromatic". I am not at all complaining that their arnt' multiple colors on a single peice of apparel. That is happening, and it is uber pretty. I am discussing the colors used. I also said: "From the Lace to the rose thorns, to the bows, to even the steampunk sets...the only other colors that seem to show up is the occasional dark green, and gold if one is feeling creative." and "And The Greens, though the lighter greens are neglected...are LUCKY compared to the ORANGES, and any shade of yellow that is not gold." In addition, I am ignoring neutral colors here, which I will soon after posting this, add to my main post. (So no "brownie points" for the brown, lol). That being said: That is NOT seafoam. However, that does appear to be JADE, which is another neglected green, although not AS neglected as the lighter greens. That is very much a golden yellow. I already addressed that I am not discussing a lack of items that have multiple colors. HOWEVER. THERE IS ONE SET YOU LISTED THAT COVERS NEGLECTED COLORS. ONE SET THAT GIVES LOVE TO THE LOVELESS. A SINGLE FIGHTER FOR ALL THAT IS UNLOVED: Thank you, marksmen set, for existing. I apologize if I sound rude, I am simply attempting to clarify things, and take a humorous approach. I will change my main post to make all this clearer.

Absolutely, some apparel colors are almost nonexistent. That's a trend that I've noticed since the launch. Some of the other examples include grey (whereas black and white are common), and light blue shades.

We haven't got any light blue apparel after the sky blue silks, except for some dual-colored purple/blue apparel and some Ice-flight festival stuff.

For simple apparel colour/pattern changes, I'd imaging they'd need to hire someone to check over the customs before accepting - and of course, some new coding would be needed and a page of the PSD files. But it doesn't seem overly complex, so I'm really surprised this isn't already a feature? (This would probably encourage people to buy gems too - I have no interest in making skins/accents, but custom clothing? I'd jump on that) Then again I don't know what it's like to run a petsite, so maybe such a feature would be harder to create than I realize!

I am inclined to agree with this suggestion. There are so many colors of dragons that we just need similar expansion of colors on apparel that reflects the expansion we had on color wheel. Some dragons are impossible to dress up since there frankly are no apparel for them. Then it is a shame that they cannot be dressed up when they otherwise are beautiful. And definitely we need more colored armors! While occasional gold, iron and platinum are nice... We need something more bold like the Cobalt Filigree and Venomscale sets are. I mean... look at them. Don't they look amazing? [outfit=123298][outfit=123286] Heck, I'd like something more red armor... And before anyone mentions Bloodscale or Viper sets... the reds on them are more accents and details. I want red like the Cobalt filigree is cobalt blue. Red armor with darker red details. Now how cool would that be?
[item=Marksman's Hat] Off-green, yellow with blue accents.
