i really like the elemental festivles and NoN, but personally i would like during one of those festivles a retired day or something. you have a certain amount of chances (maybe 5) to open a chest and a get a retired apparel, famillar, skin, or etc.) its just supppppppppppper hard to save up for it and i think it would be a little helpful to have a chance to get those things. especially for newbies. when they join they miss out a little bit on the stuff and really never get a chance for it.

*sprays flame retardant on thread* Just as a warning, this is probably NOT going to be a very popular subject and could get heated.... @Steampunker777

While I personally have really no issues with retired items coming back, I do not think this is the way to do it. 5 chances per at least 3000 users (I don't now how many total, as this is just the number online at any given time so the actual number is a great deal more) would release WAY to many retired items into the economy. I think it would be best for it to be an almost glacial drip.

I also think that a good way to do it would be in a way it either acted as a treasure sink (as in HUUUUUUUGGGGGEEE treasure sink) with no guarantee to get a retired item or as a form of income for the site.

I honestly don't know why we have retired festival items anymore. All festival items need to be treated like all other festival items and just throw them in Spare Inventory.

I don't think "retired" festival items need their own box. They just need to be put into the Spare Inventory box with everything else. And you get one chance per festival like everything else.

I do not for any reason support this.

I believe all items should retire with time or at least do as is done with wildclaw scrolls, cycling of LONG periods of time. If the admins were to redo a few of their polls I’m assuming they would have completely opposite answers than before or the same but I know most will say that festival items should retire or cycle over the years. But just getting retired items by a chance is still not okay with me I like the fact we have the spare inventory but I feel like it should all be long time cycled.
I think the userbase is still very divided on the subject. I do not support this suggestion's way of doing it but I agree with Almedha that it would make sense that all fest items just go in Joxar's chest. I have been on this side of the argument for years and still dislike the retire items from the first year festivals. Everything about them has sparked a lot of fights in this forum and I don't really see the difference between first year fest stuff and other year fest stuff except that the staff said that the first year items would always be "retired". Well, the site has moved away from that kind of thinking and there was no mandatory monetary exchange between the site and players to get the first year items like with the KS items so the reasons the first year fest items aren't in joxar's box are what exactly???

Or! Instead!

Retired items can stay retired since they're retired and that means they aren't coming back?

I could maybe support it if there's one chance per festival and these chests cost like 5000g each with a shot at any of the retired items with it slanted to give better chances at getting newer retired stuff than old ones, but otherwise...

Nah. Retired is retired.

Stuff doesn't retire any more because people complained about not being able to get stuff that they weren't around for. They've already caved to people whinging about it. It's bad enough that nothing new on the site will ever be worth anything ever again without devaluing old stuff more than the release of recolours already have.

I could maybe support unretirement of items if everything that was retired came back.

UK time. Sorry for timezone-related delays in responses. They/Them.
Okay, look at it this way. Since the release of the recolors of retired festival items, all of them had dropped in value up to half their original value, or even more. The only one that didn't drop in value was Light Sprite. So does this suggestion actually aiming for Light Sprite only? I'm confused.

I stand with Greyjoy, let retired stay retired. I actually think they shouldn't have caved in to players whining and should keep retiring everything, and only let them 'come back' as recolors. This way they can still let new players have a chance to make a bank on their investments. But they did, so let's just live with that.

I do not support retired items coming back onto the site as a chance item, and do not support retired items coming back, until we are SEVERAL years into open registration, and the size of the userbase justifies a rerelease.

I have been in the game for about 5 months now.... And I totally think that bringing retired festival gear back (in SOME kind of fashion) would be awesome!!! So I support you, but like Almedha said, spare inventory would be a really good option.

I already own most of the retired fest items (aside from the early sprites) so could you quite with the "whining" players thing? Just because someone else's opinion is different than the "retired means retired argument" doesn't mean they are whining, alright? Also this "caving to the players" thing is also kind of rude. Its called compromising. The admins created Joxar's chest as a compromise to respect both sides of the argument folks were arguing over.
