What I'm trying to get at is the fact that people will sometimes exalt their dragons without naming them, BY ACCIDENT. I was trying to say that if SOMEONE exalts it by accident then they could have a grace period like someone mentioned earlier.
The other option was naming it Unknown instead, after Exalting.
I don't like Unnamed simply because it leaves the dragon without a name, on the other hand Unknown is more mysterious and means the dragon HAS a name, but you just don't know it.
I'm thinking more of if the dragon is exalted while unnamed by accident, the person can either have it changed to Unknown instantly with a button or just instantly in general. The other option would be to have a one time name grace, name it and go.

I can support a grace time if you accidentally exalt without naming, like you can edit their name within 48 hours or something. Absolutely no support for automatically naming all dragons when exalt, because there are numerous legitimate reasons why people exalt their dragons unnamed.

Yeah! I saw someone with a full page of dragons NAMED Unknown, and my friend has a dragon named Unknown. It would be nice to think that the dragons have a name but it's just not known!

How is "Unknown" any better than "Unnamed"? A lot of people, I believe, just dislike "Unnamed" because it's the default and/or because they want unique names on their lists. In these cases, Unknown would just become the new Unnamed.

2. it doesn't make sense to me that dragons are born 'unknown' rather than 'unnamed' I mean, unnamed means they literally don't have names yet, while unknown means no one knows their names.
3. This would cause problems. How does it handle the players who have named their dragons unknown? Do they suddenly get a free name change. What about players that want to rename their dragons as unknown. Since Unknown would be the default name, it would then now be a 'banned' name. So in the future any players who wanted to have 'unknown' parents, but the parents were already named are out of luck.
Ultimately, A good rule of thumb is this: If it isn't in your lair, or wasn't exalted by you, then ignore it. It doesn't matter whether or not the names show up on offspring or parent lists.
