TOPIC | Better rewards from fairgrounds games?
1 2
I personally enjoy playing the fairgrounds games quite a bit. Unfortunately, there's only really two that have a significant enough payout to be worth any time. I get that not everything can have a big payout, and some totally shouldn't, like higher or lower which is a total guessing game. That makes sense to only pay a little bit, but I just think that maybe more skill based games, especially shock switch, should have a higher baseline payout. I like to play them but it just sort of feels like a waste of time when you spend a bunch of time trying to win and then finding that your work amounts to half of what you could have gotten playing a much less skill based game ;_;

The only problem I see is if all the games have a payout rate like Glimmer & Gloom, then people will max out Fairgrounds more often (less burnout being able to switch between games, some people can't/won't play one game and now too would be able to max out the Fairgrounds payout each day). So I am confident this would increase the amount of treasure coming into the game.

That said, some of them could probably use a boost and maybe G&G could get knocked down a bit. I agree it's not fun to get piddling little bits of treasure if someone else is raking it in within 15 minutes playing another game. And it comes back to, it would be more fun for the Fairgrounds grinder to be able to switch it up; fun is good.

I wouldn't mind seeing the game payouts being equalized.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you can spend the same amount of time doing a puzzle and get the same amount of treasure you would from doing Artifracture in that amount of time, but it would make it more worthwhile to do the other games.

I don't know if you've tried it, but you can get money with Glimmer & Gloom very fast! Using this video guide i can earn 75000 easily in under 30 minutes by playing Hard mode. Anywhere between 16-20 minutes is my average. It's by far the most profitable fairgrounds game.

I don't really agree with raising payouts, but i wouldn't mind it.

[/quote] This. They probably can see the times the games save as highscores for each user/level. That would mean getting a average lowest time for all games to equalize the payout with. It doesn't even have to be 500t/10s for all just something that makes the range not go from 5t/10s to 5kt/10s as it seems to feel like now.

What Yewwily said.

I wouldn't mind seeing the others' payouts adjusted simply because of that, honestly; as it stands, G&G is the only one that's worthwhile in terms of time:treasure, which means the others get played much less (even though they're fun and I'm sure they took a lot of hard work to develop).

Would love to see the fairgrounds equalized.

Glimmer and Gloom? Easy 75K treasure in half an hour or so. Minimal effort.
Jigsaw puzzles? Good enough payout, but maxing would take ages.
Artifracture? Good payout, maxing isn't that difficult.

Everything else? Not really worth playing unless you really enjoy those games.

I'm all for equalizing things a bit. G&G has been a game changer in pay outs. I'm at the point I can max it in 15-20 minutes, it's crazy.

How profitable G&G is frustrates me because it requires a sort of pattern recognition that's utterly beyond me. I watch people play it and I just get frustrated because they're obviously seeing something that I cannot. I have no clue if I can learn that sort of thinking and the guides all assume some form of understanding of the concept and I don't even have that.

Not demanding that it's payout be lowered, but other games getting their payout upped a bit would be nice. They don't need to be equally profitable, but as it is some of them just aren't worth playing.
