It would be nice if there was a way to actually rent a nest out from someone on the AH or something similar. (User wanting to breed with the rented nest could be sent the nest for a certain timeframe.)
From personal experience, I've lost a few dragons from sending them out to be bred by a user renting out their nests. This could potentially solve that issue, and it'd just be much easier, in general, to rent out nests.

Support! would live risk-free nest renting! the only issue I can see is the user not incubating their eggs every day and maybe running into an issue there? A time limit could be used on the nests i guess.

I do believe a time limit could be a good idea. Maybe once the time runs out, the nest is sent back whether or not the nest has hatched? If it hasn't hatched, the nest could be considered a 'failure.' If that were to happen, I think the parents should still be on a cooldown whether they had a successful nest or not.

That way, there'd be no need for incubation. The cost of the boon would be included in the fee, ergo, there'd be no need to send dragons anywhere, or incubate nests.
It could even work for studding.

Personally, rather than nest rental, which would need a lot of details worked out to make it work, I would rather have a way to temporarily, for one nesting, change the element of one of your nests.
IE, a high level brew, costly in treasure and materials, that could allow you to breed a pair of your dragons and have the offspring have a different element than your own flight's
