I propose a sort of holding area for items we want to transmute. A dedicated Baldwin hoard/vault for our materials and putting in things we want to transmute. It would take strain off the site, as it wouldn't have to load all 30 pages of apparel every time I want to melt down an item, and we can actually go through our hoard and check what's worthless and what is not and sort through the jumble. Trying to remember what I meant to keep and what to melt is difficult at times.
The coding should be simple enough, as we already have a hoard and a vault. Just add a third tab, meant for our Baldwin things. It should keep secondary ingredients separated too, like all the frog legs and shells and whatnot. It declutters our main hoard and therefor reduces load on the servers and lag on the users' side.
This is NOT a queue.
When you open the transmute tab, it would access Baldwin's Bin, instead of your hoard. When you go to brew a recipe, it accesses Baldwin's Bin, instead of your hoard. There would be a bit of a learning curve, and people would have to move their Baldwin items to the new bin, but I feel it would streamline our experience significantly.

Oooh, I love this. My hoard is an absolute nightmare to load 100% of the time because there's no way to get huge amounts of things back out of the vault without clicking individually so I never bother. It'd definitely take some strain off of the site if I could chuck dedicated stacks and my eight million Coli familiar dupes into a separate storage area. I would be down for this!
The secondary ingredient thing I'm more take-it-or-leave-it on, unless we can just… have some way of indicating things we don't want to melt down but want to keep in that storage for Baldwin access (for instance, I wouldn't want to be locked out of, say, melting my Crumbling Reliefs if I don't have any interest in brewing that recipe) but some way to help the site and reduce lag would be amazing.

mothscale I think it would function much like the hoard does now, but it would load a lot less stuff.. So you'd still have to make sure you're not melting your skinks down, but it should be a whole lot easier to remember with fewer items to pick from.

Jussie Ohh, okay, yes, that makes sense. I was just not quite clear on that, then. :D Excellent, I love this even more!

Yes! Support!
I've asked for something like this before, I would love if I could decide what I want to melt while I'm in the hoard sorting through things and just toss a stack of it to baldwin's storage area so it's easily available when I'm ready to do some transmuting. Instead of scrolling through all the things each time, 98% of which I DON'T ever want to transmute so there's no reason for me to be seeing all of it, or for FR to be loading it either.
Personally I'd like that function for the AH too, go through hoard/vault choose items to go in the sell pile and then have the AH sell window load those only instead of everything in the hoard for a particular tab.

I love this idea and support it wholeheartedly!
It would help me when I need to remove reagents to brew (as I keep them in my vault for safe keeping) and remember what stuff was for Swipp (keep it in the regular hoard) and what was for Baldwin!

Another bonus would be, if all the transmuted items are out of the materials tab then 'select all' will actually work properly without all that junk sitting there blocking the function from getting everything on the page.

I love this because I have a huge hoard (vaulting every single thing doesn't work) and it can be SO SLOW to load everything just to transmute, so big support here.
