Please explain to me what exactly is russian about a war utensil? Seems a pretty bad thing to say.
I am still quite queasy about modern warfare items in this game. Be that bombs, grenades, mines, guns and similar weapons as well as gas masks. It just hits a tad too close to home you know?
As an alternative there are plague doctors masks with googles that allready look warlike enough.

fair enough :P. there's also the highland scavenger which is perfect for a gas mask dragon. also the gas mask was invented by the germans iirc. i said it'd be good for a russian dragon only because of the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R in which you're in the radiated wastelands of Chernobyl/Pripyat. yeah, it might be too inappropriate for FR :/

I personally don’t have a problem w/ gas masks but since people seem to be bothered by them maybe we can have respirator masks as a compromise? :0

I'm fine with a compromise. I don't actually have an issue with gas masks themselves. Part of Air Force basic training I had to use a gas mask and yep I was in a gas chamber. The point of it was to show the necessity of knowing how to properly use one as well as understand through experience how gas can affect you. It was an interesting experience. Not one I'd want to do again but I also consider that knowledge useful.
They're a tool-one that saves lives. And I do associate Plague with biochemical warfare. Of course it would depend on the kind of gas mask if it would offer any protection against that.
We already have something that's modern-the aviator apparel. I'm sure there's people out that know what it's liked to get bombed/deal with air strikes. I personally like the aviator apparel due to the military/air craft history around it.

I'd honestly love a gas mask. I can understand why people would feel uncomfortable with them so having something that's more like a respirator would probably be a better choice. If it it had a 'Mad Max' vibe and was clearly for exploring scarred wasteland it would make an excellent plague festival piece. Maybe it could complete the carapace arm/contaminated infectalons set? If it had a tattered red hood and some neck bandages it would work well with that set

If we go by the logic that modern warfare-related items shouldn't be allowed on this site, then we'd have to get rid of an entire Flight (hi there Plague with biochemical warfare). I'm honestly all for the gas mask.
