TOPIC | Feature to Change Pose Direction

This is something I hope will get implemented on FR someday. (If it isn't being designed already, that is.) I have often faced the issue of several dragons in a row all facing one direction and it looks weird to me. I try my best to arrange all my dragons to where they do not all face the same direction, but sometimes it simply isn't possible. [s]This pose business is probably some kind of OCD and we're dying to have control over it.[/s] Eventually, there comes a point where many different dragons with the same pose direction all end up facing the same way in a single row. Also, sometimes your mate-paired dragons' poses are not compatible for the two to face each other and it's kinda sad. This changing pose direction thing would be very useful for aesthetic reasons. It shouldn't be too complicated for apparel as well. I have seen the coli flip your battle dragons to face the opponents, and it doesn't appear to have any apparel issues at all. I support this every time it comes up.. which is very often :D
I think it would go well with the fact we can now choose between 4 and 5 dragons per lair row.

I like this idea (as opposed to the controversial "pose change" scroll idea) but I think there's a bit of an issue with the dragon art looking completely bonkers when flipped. Considering a lot of them look "weird" when flipped I'm not sure the staff would appreciate a potentially bigger discussion about that? My brain is uncomfortable :U
@Farah @Brewster In response to both of you; I believe the flipped dragons only look wrong to long term flight rising users as our brains have gotten used to the original pose direction as the norm and when we see it flipped it looks wrong. It looked strange to me too, but the longer you look at it the less strange it becomes. Take these two images from google as an example. Can you tell which one is 'strange'? Both are the same image but one is flipped. It's a brain illusion that happens only when you become custom to a certain thing being a particular way.

Lol yeah, it was really just the shock of seeing it reversed - initially my brain thought it was a whole new picture, and then I went and looked at one of my own to work it out. I have a thing for symmetry and "rightness" in my own lair so I could see a use for this feature. It could be useful for other people who would like a pose-change scroll, too.

Support. I've got a set of twins I want to have mirrored poses, they are named Widdershins and Deosil (aka clockwise and counter clockwise) and they really ought to be facing in opposite directions.

As for looking weird Tenntakk is 100% right it's a perception issue based on what we're used to, but even beyond that, if somebody else likes the reversed spiral male pose better for their dragon that should absolutely be their choice to make and not something anybody else gets to dictate is wrong.
Someone else thinking it looks weird shouldn't have any weight. Not your dragon, not your choice. Same way you don't get to tell someone else that the skin or apparel they chose makes their dragon ugly. Ultimately it's only the lair owner's opinion that should matter.

Edit: I think I would prefer if the actual mechanism to flip the image were somewhere on the dragon's page though, instead of taking up the limited space on the lair cards, they are already tight (especially in the 5 dragon per row view) and the tab and lair/den buttons would have to shrink too much to add another button in that space.

Support! This could be a really neat idea. It always bothers me when two dragons don't face each other when they should.

I support this so much! It makes me sad when my pairs not only do not face each other but sometimes are looking at the next dragon like they are mated instead of say siblings.
