When did you see this happen? Afaik it's only possible during NotN, when the chest trades are in the draw list multiple times to increase the chance of at least one appearing.

Given that it happens so rarely, I don't really think it's that much of a problem, but if it were an easy fix it certainly wouldn't hurt anything.
ETA: Actually, it seems like it would be a good idea to have a weighting system for Swipp trades, rather than just putting trades in multiple times like what happens with NotN. That way they can prevent trades from showing up twice, but still influence how often a trade shows up in the rotation.

I believe Genes are - much like the event items - put in multiple times to increase the odds of them showing up slightly, due to them being a more central facet of the site. Could be wrong about that, though.

I've always thought this would be a good idea, especially the way NotN shakes out. Instead of drawing for all three trades at once, pull Swipp from the entire pool first, then draw the girls one at a time from the pool minus that trade.

i think i've seen the penny jar trade double up as well. (I know sometimes the vday swans can dual occur but that is always shrugged off as a time limited thing).
(but I don't have a time and date on that and I could be misremembering).
and i don't know the logistics of how the swipp items code their odds if it's number of times the item appears in a list is higher odds or if each item has a percentage of appearing)

I think it's just more common during special/limited events because the items are in the pool extra times to ensure players get a chance at them, but that would still be solved by removing all 'copies' of an already-up trade from the pools for Pipp and then Tripp.
