Basic idea is that when your energy dips below 80%, you get a bit of a grace period between then and the next universal hunger drop time (00:00, 08:00, & 16:00). If you get back up to 80% in that time period, you don't lose your bonus. Maybe you don't get the grace period if you fall below AT a hunger time, only if it happens inbetween them. For example, when a raffle attendant accepts a batch of hungry dragons.

To be honest I'm not even sure if I'm completely sold on this idea or not. I don't particularly care about the well fed bonus myself, and as such this isn't a big deal either way for me. But I do find myself dancing around the 80% quite a lot, and the more of my dragons I move to the den the more I find that bringing low energy dragons into my lair or losing a battle in the coli can have a big impact. Someone with only a dragon or two in their lair might find themselves debating between buying that perfect (but hungry) dragon or keeping their bonus. So I see some merit in the idea. But bigger lairs have more of a "buffer" so to speak, so maybe that's an intended benefit? To make up for having to feed all those dragons?
Pro? Cons? Discuss!

Honestly, I've thought this would be a nice thing before. Even just a tweak where incoming dragons (like AH purchases and such) don't immediately tank your energy level and instead give you like 15-30 minutes time in your lair to feed them up (or exalt them for raffle folks) before they affect your bonus could be really helpful.
But I have a big lair that's pretty much always above 90% so my perspective probably isn't the most relevant.

Yeah, I think it'd make sense if it only changed your lair status from well-fed to not at the next hunger tick. Although that might add more lag to those ticks?

It is regarded as unwise to harvest claws of a kamaitachi. These weasels travel in family units, and the survivors are known to hunt collectors down.

I like PersimmonBird's version.
I'd never even thought about the possible negative impact of buying a starving dragon. It's already kind of rough to buy a starving dragon, as 50 food points is this big additional cost. To then also lose your Well Fed bonus when they hit your lair, with nothing you can do about it, is extra rough.

Having at least a few minutes would be awesome. I've heard of people doing mass purchases of dragons to exalt and they tank their bonus because all the fodder is staving.

I'd definitely be in favor of a grace period.
I can take a starving dragon no problem, personally, but people who choose to play with fewer dragons or haven't yet accumulated a lot/the lair space for a lot shouldn't have to worry about it. Same thing for raffle attendants.

Support. Taking that hit as a raffle attendant or simply someone who buys a lot of fodder can hurt, it'd be nice to have a bit of time to deal with incoming starving dragons before losing the bonus. After all, it's meant to be a reward for being active and maintaining your dragons, it doesn't make sense to lose that right away.

Definitely support. I can't buy starving fodder, I'd lose my bonus, which is ridiculous.
Absolutely support! The only time I have ever lost my well fed dragon was taking in fodder. I lose out sometimes because I have to switch tabs and feed my lair in between each couple of dragons.
