TOPIC | User Skin/Accents + Game Database
So I was just browsing through usermade skins/accents on the new database and thought to myself, phew, there's a lot of nice ones here, but it's going to be a pain to find any specific skin/accent in order to actually use it. So I have three suggestions to bridge the gap between people browsing skins/accents on the game database and actually purchasing what they find.

1. List whether a usermade skin/accent is currently for sale on the AH (wouldn't recommend this for normal items of course, as the vast majority of them are available 24/7)

2. Allow skin/accent creators to define a (flight-rising based) URL that should be linked somewhere in the DB description pages of their accents, ie, allow users to link their shop threads, so there's a better chance of a user who finds and wants a skin/accent being able to get it. (This would be optional on the creator's end.) It might also be worth it to allow the inclusion of this to be set per skin/accent (only one URL for simplicity's sake, but the ability to prevent it from being shown on, say, personal or privately-produced accents that might not be present in the shop.) An added bonus is that this might help users not to unwittingly buy marked-up, resold copies of accents which are technically still in print, and could therefore be bought from the artist for cheaper.

3. Add an initial print date to skins/accents on the DB. This would make it easier for a user browsing the DB to see whether a skin/accent is a recent one that they might be able to acquire, or a much older one that will be harder to hunt down. I would also suggest the number of reprints/copies in the game and the most recent reprint date be listed, but I'm not sure if this is information that skin/accent artists want to be available (ex. you have a skin that is retired in your shop but you print one for a friend and you don't want it to say that you recently printed one, idk.)

please ping me to get my attention!
I recently saw someone encouraging skin/accent artists to comment on their skins’ DB pages letting people know about their status. I feel like a site-implemented thing like this could get pretty messy, though, so IMO it might be better to stick to comments.

Esme, a very red and Plague-themed Skydancer. A medallion depicting the Plaguebringer in profile.
I think listing the initial print date is a great way to give people an idea of whether the item might still be in circulation or not, without requiring more work from the artists to post comments or go through guidelines with url links, especially considering that the links or status may change around.

As someone who only makes skins and accents for myself, I wish there was some way for me to simply remove them from the database, or at least have it show that there was only 1 of the accent printed so that people would probably get the idea.

I guess I could go comment on the pages of my skins and accents, but tbh I'd rather just remove them from the database because I have had people annoy me about them in the past due to them being linked in user made accent databases.

Utilizing the comments section is probably going to be the best option.

What I really want is to be able to browse by artist + whether or not it was a festival skin
