TOPIC | More singular apparel sets
Outside of events and fests, I feel like there's been a big focus lately on all apparel being part of large sets with numerous recolours. And while this is appreciated, it feels like it's been such a long time since we saw smaller apparel "sets" like the daredevil covers, or the different swords, or even the glasses.

It'd be nice to get more of these. It'd be a perfect opportunity to create more practical apparel too. Instead of having to come up with head, body, arm, tail, leg and wing pieces for a chef set, they could create a few different utensils for dragons to hold. They wouldn't even have to layer well, sets like the swords certainly don't.

I know a drawback to this is that updates releasing this apparel could be considered underwhelming compared to apparel updates these days but personally I don't mind. Perhaps they could create a few different sets covering different things (eg: gardening tools, scribe tools, fishing rods and nets, animal skull helmets) and release them all at once.

Today's release of the tea sets has shown how much the userbase craves something "functional" that serves a role-driven purpose. Smaller sets would be a nice way of accomplishing this more often.

Personally, while I haven't played around with the tea sets, I love the idea of them.

However, I also agree that having individual pieces that could be used with multiple other combinations of apparel would be wonderful. Too many of the sets don't really look that good when used singularly (some can) or with other sets, so having items that can 'complete' a look without needing a huge number of other pieces of the set would be great.

I'd like some more individual pieces. There are some items that COULD be part of a set but they don't really need to be. Like it'd be nice to get a lot more weapons, but we have plenty of armour already. If a full set had to be released with every weapon we're always going to be stuck with a few sword and a trident.

I love the tea sets and I'm really really hoping they are going to do more functionally themed apparel sets. But I'd also definitely appreciate some mini/micro sets that are only a few items, especially for job-type things that don't need to be full outfits.
Most of the time I don't use all of the items in a set together anyway, so a bunch of individual pieces or mini-sets of a few linked items would be just as fun if not more, and more variety is always a good thing.

Support. I love color options, but I'd love variety even more, and objects that aren't clothes/are small clothes like glasses and blindfolds are the perfect option for this. I'd also be down for mixed sets, or much smaller sets that mean they can fit all the recolors in one update.

Examples

--Gardening update! 10 gardening tools/supplies that don't get recolored, and 1 watering can item that gets like 5 colors.
--Construction work update! A set that's just a hard hat, a safety vest, and boots, but because there's so few pieces you can get like 10 recolors off the bat and it doesn't use up two posts.
--Items or item sets that don't recolor at all because it'd be weird if they did. So, for example, a micro set that's an armful of blueprint rolls and a t-square.
--Updates that are just a whole lot of unrelated but useful individual everyday items that aren't recolored at all.
Oh man, I'd be so happy with some gardening/farming apparel. Fishing and water related items (there's a fantastic thread with ideas for water stuff) Chef and cooking items, a cleaver that doesn't look like a horror movie prop would be particularly nice. And bee keeping! I'd give an awful lot for a small beekeeper set. A flowerfall style bee swarm, skeps/hiveboxes (this might take some creativity* for some breeds), gloves and a smoker, and veil/hat would be so neat. That's not something that would lend itself to recolors, but it would still make a great addition. If they don't have to focus only on large sets with multiple recolor potential, then there's a lot more room to flesh out and represent how dragons live in Sornieth. *ever seen an elephant saddle? Those platforms they wear? I'd love love love dragons who carry their hives on their backs with something like that. How neat would that be? Travelling pollinators, visiting clans to tend to their orchards and crops. Each dragon guarding their bees and protecting them from pests and creatures who'd raid the hive.

oo yes i support 100% ! and if they still want to do bigger releases, they can just release a whole bunch of these individual pieces at once?

def feels like we could get more unique pieces if they weren't tied to a set

Big sets are nice, but all sets and individual pieces, or even pairs, would be great and add to a more diverse wardrobe.

A thread in FR Discussion points out the need for more masculine-oriented pieces & sets. I would add that more unisex items/sets would also be nice!
