TOPIC | Naming familiars

This has probably been suggested before, but it would be awesome if once our familiar was awakened, we could then name it.

I would rather have there be a name field on the familiar box on dragons, that way there's no coding question of having multiple copies of a familiar or what happens to the name if you sell your only copy of it.

Yeah I think we're on the same page. Instead of saying "familiar" in the familiar box, we could then add a name. It would be something to look forward to once the familiar is awakened.

I know they're working on familiar recolors once they're awakened, so that's something to look forward to too.

I definitely would LOVE having the option to replace the generic 'Familiar' title with a name- and perhaps, since it wouldn't be a searchable thing, it could go without a 'letter minimum', so you could name a familiar 'A' or 'Aa' instead of 'Aaa+' if you wanted to.

Once I awaken all my collected familiars, I want to put lore-specific familiars on my permanent residents. Being able to officially name them would look pretty spiffy!

That would be perfect!!! The familiar's actual entry stays with the official breed or whatever but each dragon can have an appropriately named pet c: and it would give a lil extra love for awakened familiars that no longer drop chests

That would be a cool option!

Not sure how a change of familiars should be handled then. Maybe either the name has to be deleted before you can exchange the familiar in question or a name is automatically deleted once you take the familiar away from a dragon?
However it's done, the option to give a name is a great idea!
