So this idea is based off a dream I had:
So this is how the dream went: It was weird. I was on my laptop in the school canteen and it was completely empty, and I was on FR and there was a update that was a new gene which was like a FUR gene, and it was called fuzz and fluff or something? I know weird. And it made spirals look like fuzzy worms and tundras and gaolers were EVEN MORE POOFY it was weird. And the I got a free gift from galore and it was a gene scroll (primary and sec) and I put it in my vault and went to my lair, when suddenly, ALL MY DRAGONS WERE FUZZY PRUPLE SPIRALS WITH GOOGLY EYES?!?! AND THERE FAMILIARS WERE FUZZY WORMS? I reported it on th forums and I had a panic attack and tried to fix it but I couldn’t get rid of the dragons, and they were multiplying, every few second and my lair was over run with them and they started pouring out of the screen and started flying around the canteen and then they were every where and there were soo much of them I couldn’t see and then I think I suffocated.
It’s basically two genes that add fur to the dragon wearing it, a primary and sec pair and it makes already furry breeds more furry, and I was also thinking fuzzy worm familiars, because why not? :D I really want fuzzy worms

As much as I would say support and would love fluffy worms on a string (Spirals), I have to say No Support. There's a reason that Ancients, who can not wear apparel, get line breaking genes but modern breeds don't. The staff would have to redraw all the apparel to fit the fluffy dragons, and if they did, then it wouldn't fit not-fluffy dragons. You could argue that bits of the fur could overlap the apparel, but that would be even more confusing imo

Support for line-breaking terts for Moderns.
WHO CARES if it interferes with apparel? Don't like the way it looks with a piece of apparel? Don't use it, same as with any other gene. Problem solved. And the rest of us can have fluffy little spiral permababies. And Tundras in their winter coats.
WHO CARES if it interferes with apparel?
Like 90% of the userbase, haha. People really don't like clipping and are quick to notice and comment on it.

People really don't like clipping and are quick to notice and comment on it.
And yet pretty much ALL apparel clips with some if not most of the other apparel that covers the same area and even so, people constantly willingly use apparel that clips to one degree or another. Plenty use it specifically for that effect. It's a personal choice. If clipping was that much of an issue nobody would ever use layered apparel. About the only time I see real complaints is when a set clips with it's own items. And that's completely fair, that's a design flaw and interferes with a cohesive set. The rest? Up to the dragon owner to decide which matters more and what they like best. Which would be the same with line-breaking genes (firefly already looks weird under apparel) and right now even with things like the primal/multi-gaze eyes.

I would like linebreaking genes for modern dragons, even if there would be apparel clipping issues. There's already issues with clipping between apparel sets or between.... tundras' chests and any sort of shirt. You just have to workaround that. There's already the issue of multigaze just not being compatible with certain genes. If somebody didn't want to worry about the clipping they could pick a different gene.

Also, I've seen a lot of skins and accents that make modern dragons look more furry without breaking the lineart. I'm pretty sure we could get neat fluffy genes that didn't break lineart at all, or at least only broke it minimally. And there's already modern genes like firefly or spines that break the lineart a little bit. I think it'd be really neat to see! But I also support linebreaking genes in general for modern breeds, even if it would make all apparel a nightmare for dragons with that specific gene.

I absolutely adore the idea of a gene that give scaly dragons fur, it would be so pretty on Imperials as well!

Full support~
