TOPIC | Autoname Unnamed exalted dragons please?
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
I know many people here buy cheap dragons only to exalt and that's fine, but it would be nice to have an automatic naming for Exalted Dragons.

I, for one, don't like seeing some of my dragons with a long list of "Unnamed" offspring and some people are super rude when you ask them (politely) to please name before exalting. It just makes the dragons seem less unique, somehow, more like a currency than anything.

Something like the random suggestions when you name new hatchkings would be nice. And if it could be made retroactivo, that would be awesome. Or at least let people who hatched the dragons name them o
If they are exalted.

You have a chance to name hatchlings before you sell them. After that, it is no longer up to you. I suggest everyone names a dragon before they sell it if Unnamed dragons bother them.

No support. People keep or exalt dragons unnamed for various reasons. Once it leaves your lair, quite frankly it's not your business anymore. You can always name it before selling it.

Nope, not at all. No longer your dragon, no longer your name.

Name before selling. Do NOT force dragon parents I exalted myself for lore reasons to have names.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
There is no need to add this as it is already possible to prevent unnamed dragons by naming them before selling. Once named a dragon cannot be Unnamed by another player.

If Unnamed dragons bother you take responsibility and name your hatchlings before they leave your lair. Don’t expect others or the game itself to take responsibility for your off splits if you can’t be bothered to take responsibility for it yourself

Once a dragon leaves your lair it is no longer your dragon and you have no say on what happens to it. Exalted dragons belong to the exalter as they are tied to that account. When a player switches flights, their exalted dragons switch to the new deity

There are many players who want and use unnamed exalts for lore purposes and they should be allowed to do so as there is nothing wrong with unnamed dragons.

Edit: if naming dragons after they’ve been exalted became a thing, only the exalter should be able to do it as that is the owner of the dragon

I wouldn’t mind a toggle where players can choose to randomize a name for unnamed dragons when exalting but the default option must be off (exalt Unnamed) as it would require less effort on the site end than randomizing names.

I would love to have this as an account option, like if I accidentally exalt an unnamed dragon it will name it from me. Having the option for when you sell dragons as well (I list an unnamed dragon, it automatically assigns a random name) would be lovely.

Edit: also nicknames, because unnamed isn't the only undesirable name out there.

But like you said, only for dragons that still belong to you.

It would be really nice if people who sell dragons for cheap would name them if Unnamed dragons in offspring lists bother them, instead of trying to control what other players do WITH THEIR OWN DRAGONS. Once you sell it, it's not yours anymore. Period.

You had your shot to prevent Unnameds 100% and you choose not to. If you didn't care enough to do so then, why should someone who bought that fodder dragon be expected to do it for you?
Or at least let people who hatched the dragons name them o If they are exalted.
The problem with this statement is that the dragon still belongs to the person that exalted it. The pedestal it stands on may initially be their flight's, but it changes when they change flights. That means it is attached to their account whether you like they exalted it Unnamed or not. It's not your dragon. Name hatchlings before selling and this won't be an issue for you. The majority of players really don't care that much if a dragon they really like already has a name since you can buy a scroll to rename it. I also recommend you use the forum search function. Be ready for a lot of angry replies; this is a very common topic on a near-monthly basis at times.
