TOPIC | Alert for a new Roundsey raffle
1 2 3
Now that Fiona's alerts were changed to make more sense, it brought back to my mind the thing I have wished for ever since Roundsey was introduced: would it be possible to make it so that whenever Roundsey starts a new raffle, there would be a Trading post alert telling players about it? For example the same sort of star as Pinkerton has.

This would make remembering the raffles significantly easier as it is now, as the raffle starts on Wednesday which isn't that easy to remember. Roundsey's place also isn't something you'd need to visit daily, which increases the chances of just forgetting it altogether even more. Adding an alert would make it easier for players to participate and therefore increase the feature's value as a money sink.

In case there are some conserns about this being seen as "forcing players to gamble", there could always be an option to turn the alert off. (Maybe it would be off by default?) Or Roundsey's page could have a button which would clear the alert for the rest of the week without having to spend money on the raffle; something like "dismiss this raffle" or just "I'm not interested this time", and Roundsey would comment "ok, come back if you change your mind". I think this feature would be rather easy to adjust to be a win-win for everyone.

Always support. (I have a commitment on Tuesday evenings which usually reminds me to check Roundsey later that night; didn't happen this week, so I actually forgot her until I saw this thread.) I only buy one ticket anyhow, but it's fun to see the staff dragons.

Same with Swipp: an alert if you haven't viewed his stand during the current cycle of trades seems like it would work on the same principle as one if you haven't seen this week's Roundsey prizes.

I get that neither of their stands are things you can 'finish' like the others (and I think an alert that only went away if you bought tickets would be a bad idea), but the main top bar alerts clear once you've viewed your notifications, even if you still have AH or Baldwin activity pending. So it seems feasible.

I like the idea of being able to toggle Roundsey (or any of the individual stands for that matter) alerts off as well without toggling off TP alerts entirely.

Yes please. It's both inconsistent and inconvenient. A week is enough for me to forget Roundsey even exists :(

Support because of the reasons people have said.

Support too, though Roundsey does appear on the Which Waystone's suggestions every week for a new raffle being up. I know a lot of established players don't use the Waystone anymore, I still like to so I don't miss any money-making opportunity.

Nest Rentals! I offer Fire nests here at 2kt a pair, no lunch boxes needed. Warning that I am a 12-hr shift night worker and might miss a day on incubation here and there. :(
Feel free to ping me anywhere! I try to subscribe to threads I create, but pings are always cool.
Yes I always forget raffles please add this :)

Yeah, this would be useful, even if it was just one of those little alerts you see when you go into the trading post. It's been hard to keep up with little things like that and I end up forgetting ggv more often then not, si definitely support

Ditto. With my work tend to forget with day of the week it is etc., an optional alert would be great.

Better yet, an additional option to get an in lore note on the Roundsey's Raffle page when you enter it for the first time after you bought tickets and won nothing To me that seems better than no feedback at all. :)

Support, I always forget when a raffle ends and I must have missed raffles a few times.
