Stop me if this has been done, but COLI DROP SCENES.
What?
I mean the pre-existing coliseum backdrop images, but as scenes for your dragons. Each one drops in the corresponding coli venue, and has the same rarity as the coli venue vistas.
Why?
- The art assets already exist! There is no need to create new art.
- The variety of Scenes increases dramatically. Want crystals? Want swamps? All your venue needs are covered.
Other ideas?
Time-based scenes! Now, implementation here might be hard, but I’m thinking if it’s doable, give different scenes based on the time you get the drop! There are different backdrops in the coli: morning, day, and night. So what if a nighttime drop gave you “Scene: Mire - Night” while midday offered “Scene: Mire - Day?” If that’s too tough to implement, a random one of the three (Scene: [Venue] - Morning/Day/Night) could drop in each venue. Again, all of these art assets already exist!
If people have other ideas related to this, I can add ‘em to the main post too. Let’s do this thing. Also @ me if you want me to add something, I forget to check stuff way too often.

YES. This just occurred to me as well and I came to see whether it had been suggested. It would be stupid easy-like you said, all the assets are already there. It couldn't possibly be hard to just turn them into an item and set them as a drop, like the stage vistas. That's 21 options for backgrounds for dragons if we just go for one set, which includes a decent variety that would be fantastic for customization. Going with the idea of releasing both day and night versions (fantastic idea, by the way!) would double that, which would be even better.
