TOPIC | Bond With ALL Familiars At Once
1 2 3 4 5 6
I am begging y'all. A single button I can press to bond with all five hundred and seventy million familiars in my lair so I don't have to spend eight years bonding with each one individually. Please. Pleeaaase.

And thank you, love the game, it's great.

you might want to do a search for bond all button.

No support. You should not be able to get upwards of 40,000 treasure for one click of one button (800 familiars at awakened)

Not to mention the lag this would cause having the server try to process bonding with 800+ familiars for who knows how many lairs at one time.

if you want the rewards for bonding you must put in the work, bonding with familiars also provides FR with ad revenue since you will be loading more pages than by pressing one button and logging off for that day.

Support! This is just common sense, really. Telling people to go through something as tedious as this for little reward makes no sense. If you can feed all your dragons in one go, you should be able to bond with your familiars in one go, too.

Feeding dragons is core gameplay; it allows your dragons to breed, fight in the coliseum, and is rewarded through the Well-Fed streak. Bonding with familiars is a bonus that does nothing but give out a pittance of money.

No support--if you want the money, put in the work.

I stand by my words. Putting in that much work for such little reward is not comparable. People have lives outside of FR. This is a simple QoL change and should be just fine.

I suggest using Forum Search before making a suggestion - a "bond all" button is a very, very old suggestion that has been repeatedly shot down for years. The main issues boil down to "convenient for an individual player, but disastrous for a multi-player economy."

Because the site makes money from advertising revenue, refreshing the page every time you bond gives the developers more money to support themselves and continue working on the site. Making those refreshes obsolete, removing the untold thousands of daily page refreshes that the playerbase would be making otherwise, would cut into their revenue in the long term.

More to the point, this would harm the game's economy to a horrific degree. Bonding with "all five hundred and seventy million familiars" would absolutely flood the economy with unlimited Treasure, never mind the additional Treasure, items, and Gems you can get from the chests awarded when you reach a new bonding level.

Even if the button didn't award chests, I currently have 801 Awakened familiars that award 50 Treasure every day. A bond-all button would make me 40,050 Treasure per day, 280,350 Treasure per week, and at least 1,201,500 Treasure per month. All with a single, effortless click that thousands of other players are also using. Considering how many older players have tons of familiars, never mind how easy it is to get new ones, this would introduce crazy amounts of currency into the economy in very little time.

And again, that's assuming this process didn't award chests from un-awakened familiars, which gives you even more currency, and more familiars you can bond with. That's how runaway inflation works; the exponential amounts of Treasure, Gems, and items would lose their worth over time, since everyone with any number of familiars (which, again, would be more common with so many chests being opened) can get so much of it with a single click.

As others have said, familiar bonding is optional. You don't have to do it unless you want to, and you don't get the reward if you don't put in the effort. Would a "bond-all" be convenient on an individual level? Sure, a lot of suggestions are. Is it worth destroying the in-game economy and the developers' real-world income? Personally, I don't think so.

Also, if you're finding it difficult or tedious, there are some pretty easy ways of bonding, at least if you're using a keyboard. If your concerns are about mobile devices that don't have these options, you might come up with a different solution that makes the process easier to do on mobile devices, but not completely effortless.
  1. If you're bonding with familiars on dragons, the left and right arrow keys will switch between dragons in the lair. You can just start at the beginning of your lair, keep your cursor over the "Bond" button, and alternate the right arrow key and left click for rapid bonding. Even with bigger lairs, it's a breeze.
  2. If you're bonding from your hoard, go to a single dragon's page, and open the "Choose Familiar" page in another tab. Click on the first familiar from the list, then Ctrl + Tab to switch to the dragon's page. Click the "Bond" button, then Ctrl + Tab again to go back to the "Choose Familiar" page. Click on the next familiar, tab back to the dragon's page, and repeat the process until everyone has been bonded with.

This is easier than ever since the profile update added a "Not Bonded Today" filter, so you can keep clicking on the first familiar on the list without worrying about skipping anyone.

And feeding is something that actually takes items away, it's not really comparable.

Hm... I'd prefer a button where you can select which familiars to bond to.

It will ruin FR's ability to pay the bills via ad revenue. If you don't feel it's worth it, don't bond.
