This comes up from time to time and generally is not popular as it would require an entire recoding of the breeding system and remove some of the challenge in finding the perfect mate. A more popular alternative is Pose Change Scrolls. You'd still need a male and a female dragon, but you could change the pose of one of the dragons so it appears you have a F/F or M/M breeding pair

This suggestion has been suggested heaps of times and each time, the admins say no. Breeding dragons of the same gender would totally mess up the breeding system.

This comes up a lot and is shot down every time. Although I, personally, would absolutely love this and it would mean a great deal to me, it would mess with the breeding system horribly. I still want it, don't get me wrong, but it's probably for the best it's never implemented.

No support. Reasons have been hashed out before on other threads. Overall, it seems patronizing to say that gay dragons are only a "real" couple if they have kids, and their relationship is only valid if they use a potion.
Take away the potion and just make any dragon free to breed with any other non related dragon? Then what's the point of even having male or female? Might as well call them Pose 1 and Pose 2 and let the players decide the rest.

For one, FR has only two barriers to breeding and that is lineage and sex. Take away one, and you increase the breeding partners of any particular dragon drastically.
A breeding game must have challenges, or barriers, to breeding your creatures, otherwise the game becomes no fun.
Gryffs allows you to literally breed any gryff to any other gryff, no matter lineage, and it doesn't have sex (or alternate poses for breeds), but you can only breed your gryffs if they are at 100 hunger and energy, otherwise the breeding could fail, or if you buy a breeding token, which costs about 10K gold, each. Then you get one chick. There are also a LOT of markings, that can be at opacities between 0-100, in any color hex code plus some 'gradients' and gryffs can have ALL markings (and I think there might even be the ability to get 'double' markings, though I am not sure about that)
Aywas allows you to breed any pet to any pet, I think, with the right breeding item. In fact, there gender is actually purely cosmetic. However, they have a breeding backlog so large that some players have been waiting months, if not years for their babies.
