TOPIC | Dragon Element change?
1 2
A scroll (or something) that changes the element of a dragon! If you can do it on your account, then why not on a dragon? I also had a few times when there was a dragon that looked like fire or lava, but it's a light dragon, or a purple coloured dragon with genes that make him/her look Arcane mage-ey, but it's ALSO a light dragon. It would be more fitting to make them a fire/Arcane dragon to fit their colours and genes (And names sometimes, I named the lava-looking dragon Magma before I realized she was a light dragon)

(@DragonSage 's idea) Or something that will temporarily change a nest's element

According to canon, in order to change a dragon's element, they would need to be drained completely of their original element's magic, which would kill them, as magic is integral to them.

Element and gender are the only two things that cannot be changed on a dragon (except those wanting to change specific dragons to imperials, of course). I don't support things to change either element or gender, but particularly element. You can always breed a dragon in the correct color, genes, and element.

There's also no reason a dragon's element should dictate what you do with them; write it into their lore, or cover it up with apparel. A light dragon could choose to be called Magma despite being from the light flight; there's no rule that they can't.

I don’t believe you should be able to change an existing dragons’ element but wouldn’t mind the introduction of an item that would temporarily change a nest’s element. So you can change the offsprings’ element before they are born without having to change flights or participate in an unsupported lending transaction

A dragons flight is in essence its "race" and just like humans you can't change that. No support though I like the idea it just wouldn't be practical.

I would love eye types that drastically changed a dragon's eye color :D

Well on most dragons the eyes are so small that you can barely see the element anyway. Btw most of my dragons are aestetically different from their element. My lightning rep is nature, one of my light reps is arcane and they don't care about it.

This breaks cannon so I can't say I support this. That's why there is lore about dragons being attracted to different elements and skins.

Hmmm, no support for changing a dragon's natural eye colour for the reasons already stated.

HOWEVER, I'd fully support a fully cosmetic apparel option. Maybe contacts that look like the common eye types? That way it would cost money (might be a nice treasure sink, since it would probably be in high demand), take up an apparel slot, and not mess with battle stones a dragon can use, etc.
