That way, you can avoid stupid mistakes by buying a dragon didn't mean to buy. Also, you can't scam people on the AH because apparel isn't allowed. Scamming isn't the strongest counterargument.

Use the steampunk or arctic goggles, or the april fools eyes, that's what I do ex. Like Contaminate demonstrated above, there's lots of apparel that can give you the colour you want without making it much easier to scam people!

Imo, contact lenses should only be a thing if it's a) easy to see on the dragon that it's wearing apparel (e.g. it's a contact lens plus matching body paint) or it's colours that could never be mistaken for a flight (e.g. rainbow, pure black, patterns)

Technically we already have contacts--Marva's eyes. However if they introduce more contacts, it should either be a color that is not obviously a flight color OR should be along the lines of Marva eyes (in that they are obviously replacing the dragon's normal eyes) although if they are along the lines of Marva eyes they don't necessarily have to be cartoony looking, just different from the normal eyes

There are other types, such as rainbow or more variants on Marva's eyes, but not a great many.

I am not sure if I would personally rule them out on the hypothetical that they would be used to scam someone. To me that seems like an unlikely fear that would prevent a nice feature, especially when it is easy to see a dragon's element on their lair page.

Support from me. I don't really see why there's any reason at all it should be obvious they're contacts, either. I mean, we can see very clearly when dragons are wearing apparel by looking on their profile, not to mention their info box says which Flight they're from. It's not like people get confused when looking at dragons with skins or think the skins "devalue" a dragon's natural colours. I'd love this for lore and aesthetic reasons, and it's a great compromise in every way over the ability to change a dragon's Flight.

Contact lenses should be an [i][b]apparel[/b][/i] item so [b]you have to take it off before selling the dragon[/b]. I can’t tell you how many times I got the perfect color combo for an earthy G1 but it had arcane eyes. :’)
