This works for openables that always have the same contents but it's not feasible for anything that has different possibilities.

Er, if you're getting a hernia I think you'd better change what body part you're using to click that mouse.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
It would be impossible with chests, because they all have different content.

are the, like. windows not really expandable? i think they should be.

[color=purple]It's not so much an issue of window pop-pup size as it is the amount of lag that the site might plunge into when people start using an "open all" button on chests that have randomized contents. I can't imagine how long it would take for the site to generate the goodies from opening 99 chests at once. [emoji=guardian scared size=1] Especially when a ton of other users are doing the same thing.

what about, like. five at a time?

A small number like 3-5 for randomized chests is a big difference between 99 clicks and 33-20 clicks, which is great for those of us with bad wrists, but I'm not sure that would happen. Opening chests refreshes the page and gives new ads to give the site revenue, which is one of the reasons why a "bond all familiars" button is also largely not supported. With familiars there's also the issue of flooding the economy with treasure, and some could extend the same reasoning to opening many chests at once/in a shorter period of time.

I'm personally neutral for the moment. The chests are already in a user's inventory, they'll be opened either now or later and the treasure will be added to the game. It's just a matter of when.

don't open them all at same time is the best to do. open few each few minutes, leave some for next day and so

As corviknight said, it probably wouldn't be possible, because of the randomized content.

Unlike some openables, it isn't where they just have to multiply to get what you end up with, with randomized ones, they have to determine how many items you get, if that is something that can change (not sure if any of the chests can 'miss' a roll or not)

Then they have to determine what pools to use to determine the items you get. They have to do this for each 'roll' that the chest gives.

So, if that chest is guaranteed four items, the algorithm has to figure out what pool to use and then determine the item you get from that pool, four times (for instance, gilded chests usually give me something like two trinkets/other, 1 apparel, or 1 familiar. Sometimes I get two apparel. Not sure if I ever got two familiars or not). Then it has to determine how much gold and how many gems I get.

This is for one chest. Do that five times in quick succession. Because, unless you want to potentially devalue rarer apparel/familiars very quickly, you can't just multiply by five, each chest that is opened with an 'open all' has to pull its own set of items, and determine its own amount of currency to give.

I don't know about you, but I already see lag when opening one chest. I don't really want to see how much lag it would be for five, or 10 or 99 chests, nor how it would affect others users on at the same time.

I did see a suggestion about adding an 'open another' option to those chests, where instead of needing to wait, and then have the popup come up again, you can just have it automatically open another chest (and if they wanted, they can keep a refresh in there between hitting open another and the contents being displayed)
