just spitballing here w/ some ideas to make exalting feel less like you're throwing a dragon in the trash!! no idea how implementable anything is, am being purely hypothetical and chatty here ;) but it's kinda sad to exalt even though i totally get why it's a necessary mechanic!!
sooooo one thing that might help would be a kind of like, "pantheon" display where you can see your exalted dragons all honored in some way and together! for people who switched flights it'd just be a different page for your different flight exalts
another thing i think would really help would be some form of interaction with the dragons post-exalt that isn't available pre-exalt, getting to be apart of some of their life under their deity!! @
quartz has mentioned that an idle game would be a really cool way to do this, with your exalted dragons as playable characters. or maybe exclusive coliseum stages you guide them through fighting for their flight, where the reward is contributing to your flight dominance? the exact format isn't really as important as the way some kind of interactive feature would make it feel less like killing your pretend little buddies lol

Also, there wouldn't be any separating the dragons by flight they were exalted to. It depends on the flight you're in. If you change flights, every dragon you've ever exalted moves to that flight, as if they were exalted there.

Perhaps not as a display, but to make exalting more fun or rewarding for an individual maybe exalted dragons could become some kind of renewable resource to do tasks for you... I'm not sure what wouldn't be game breaking, though. Like maybe 50 exalted dragons could put 10 of the same item (provided you have those items) into the cauldron for you, one after another. And then they're on cool down for a week.

There kind of is that. I mean, they're not all together (that would be really impractical), but the exalted dragons show on a pedestal of whichever Flight they were exalted for.
