TOPIC | Custom Skin Submission Improvements
Hello! So having submitted 3 skins within the span of about a week, I've noticed a couple things I think could be improved to make the submission process easier to manage for the artist

1. It would be really helpful if the "Custom Skin Order #____" messages had the name of the skin you submitted and not just skin/receipt number.

When I've submitted multiple skins within a short time period, it would be helpful to more easily tell which I submitted on which date (since I don't have a good enough memory to always remember) so I know how much longer I'll be waiting to receive the copies (for reference, if you've never submitted a skin before, it takes 5-7 days)

2. This would be much more of an overhaul and site feature, but I think a skin management page under the custom skins and accents umbrella page would be incredibly useful, and also make the first suggestion moot.

- Basically, another tab titled "Custom Skin Management" or something like that, or it could be on the same page as "Upload Submissions" at the bottom of the page. This feature would be sort of like Trade Receipts in the CR, and would show receipts of all previous skin submissions and their order numbers, as well the skin name, breed, and gender (having a preview of the image file submitted would be nice too, but I understand if hosting all those images indefinitely would put unnecessary strain on the site)
- Each receipt would have a status showing as "Pending", "Completed", or "Rejected"
- Each receipt would also have a dropdown with the relevant message/notes. The Rejected ones would show the notes describing what needs to be fixed to get approved (rather than those suggestions potentially getting buried in your PMs). Pending receipts would show the standard "successfully received...5-7 days...etc" message. Completed receipts would show the standard approved message.
- Each receipt would also show the date the skin was submitted on and the date it was approved/rejected on.
- Maybe this page could also be where you collect the skin copies from, so PMs could be entirely eliminated from the system.

All of this not only is helpful for the artist’s own organization and reference, but it also helps the skin buyers, because it allows the seller to easily reference the status of skins should that status need to be communicated

Anyways, those are all my ideas for now :)

Full support! I'm dreading releasing UMAs cause of how weird the process is. Also, please, please make reprints automatic and immediate. Just allow players to buy blueprints, select the old skin/accent they have printed, and trade the blueprint for the appropriate amount of UMAs.

I'd really like reprints to be automatic! I can't find a real reason that they shouldn't be since the image is already on the site unless they're.. Re-checking it which.. ???.. Automating that could free up a bit of time to get first time submissions seen faster too.

I don't find the process of submission too complicated right now, but I can see how it would be irritating for people who get lots of pms, so I can support having a receipt section in skin submissions, yeah!

support, the UMA system is.... really clunky right now. it could use some reworking, and a dedicated page to that would be really nice. cutting out the PMs to instead have a selection page (like Galore) would streamline the process nicely!

also, why are reprints not automatic already? why would they possibly need a second or third or fourth approval time? hmm

Oh man this would be great! I recently started making skins and I'm realizing that it's kind of tough for me to keep track of the skins that I've submitted vs. the ones that have been approved.

Being able to instantly duplicate skins that have been approved in the past would be super helpful! I'm not quite sure how it would work, but it would save both skin makers and the people who are moderating them a lot of time! Maybe a drop down list of approved skins that you can pick to reprint?

Full support! This is a neat idea since I tend to submit tons of skins at a time and would love to see what I submitted rather than just the order number because it would make things a lot easier.

Automated reprints would be nice as well but I understand that there are skins that cannot be reprinted anymore because they were grandfathered in years ago. Best solution would be for the skin moderators to somehow flag those skins and grey them out on the artists submission page but that would mean they'd have to go through all of the skins (25k+ on site) and that would create more work for them but here's to hoping that someday we'll get automatic reprints!

BIG support. There's so much here that would be so helpful for me when managing my prints and my shop!!

1. PLEASE. I often am printing a few different skins at a time and sometimes I get confused on which ones I've already submitted and worry that I've accidentally submitted the same one twice vs. each one once. This would also be helpful for what you said- knowing which ones will come sooner!!

2. Just having this automatic organization would make my life so much easier hrhrngngn. Right now I have a lot of this information on a separate spreadsheet that I have to input manually, so it would be super nice to just have it available on-site for my own reference as well as my customers.

3. Automatic accepting for reprinting, as people have said above. PLEASE. If the design has already been approved and selecting a reprint doesn't let you change the file, why not just let it go through right away? I do note what was said above, and I get that this could be a lot of work for the site staff, but god this feature would change my business for the better in such a significant way.
