Suggestions

This is a thread for a couple suuuuper tiny simple QOL changes that I think would be really nice.

• Let us shift-click to select multiple items in your hoard the same way you can in, like, file explorer.
  As in, shift-clicking while selecting an item will automatically select everything between that item and the last one you selected. It's.. simple enough that I don't really know how to explain it better that that lol.
  It seems almost like an oversight that it isn't already there; I coulda sworn it was before the hoard update? Maybe I'm just thinking of chickensmoothie's pet selection :'). I can't think of any downsides to this, it'd just make mass-selecting things selectively way easier.
• Switch the Swipp purple & Hibernal Den yellow markers-- just for, like, general ease of connecting colors with concepts.
  Purple is veeery commonly associated with sleep, so associating it with the hibernal den seems like it should be obvious. Yellow is "active" and evokes currency, so it fits Swipp's stand better. They feel backwards as-is and, as someone who doesn't really use the hibernal den, I keep almost accidentally selling Swipp items thinking they're hibernal den items lol.
  The only downside to this one I can think of is that the hoard update has been around for a couple months now so people might be used to how they are and change could throw them off, but I feel like the change would be intuitive enough that it'd be a really fast adjustment.

[/quote] No support for this, so many people have gotten used to this system. I don't think the switch suggested is much more intuitive. In my opinion, purple is associated with trades on this site because of the crossroads icon with the purple arrow. Yellow can be associated with the hibernal den, because what you see when you go to expand your den is a Coatl icon with a yellow health bar.

Yeah, that is something I thought people who use the site more wouldn't necessarily agree with. I haven't seen either of those symbols/colors (I haven't used the hibernal den and I.. don't know what purple arrow you mean lol), so I guess it's kinda subjective, but from a semi-inactive/new player's point of view without having gotten used to it because it's How It Is I was mostly wondering if anyone else agreed they felt "swapped" lol.

I cant support switching the colors. Color association is extremely relative (ask anyone what color they think best represents a month or a number and every response will be different) and ive never actually seen purple associated with sleep, thats usually blue from my experience as it is more commonly associated with calming and relaxation and how blue light and color theory play into meaning with it.

For example on association, yellow for hib den tasks I associate with video game quests which are typically represented by yellow-which is exactly what they are, really. So yellow makes perfect sense for those. Swipp, who is a trader, would not make sense with yellow to me.

Association is created by repetition. Not only are CRs (trades) represented with a purple arrow in the forum sidebar and as a notification icon (which makes sense as Swipp is a trade stand), but people who frequently see those labels, and use those functions already associate those colors with those parts of the site.
I personally would absolutely have trouble with these being switched. If the colors were to be changed at all Id rather something new be chosen, but I'd really rather not change them at all.



I have no problem with shift select though.

The crossroads icon is also used on the purple bar that signifies swipp trade items.
