Suggestions

Or any other beta/kickstarter/practically unobtainable familiars, for that matter. Hope I'm not suggesting anything too game-breaky here.

I figured that, since you can now bond with retired familiars through Fiona's Flattery, it might be cool to have a prize for managing to awaken one. For those who already managed to get a retired familiar for themselves, it'd be an extra thank you for being around on FR for so long, or an extra congratulations for managing to save up the absurd amount of money needed to buy it.

For everyone else, it could be an incredibly difficult, but achievable, long term challenge. It would rely mostly on RNG, sure, but imagine the pixel dragon clout one could have for managing to get one. And since you only get one from Fiona, the auction house likely wouldn't get too saturated with them, meaning you either spend a bunch of money on one from the AH, or you wait around and keep checking back at Fiona's. Either way it's a feat

Well, I don't think we should get an actual prize beyond the standard gilded chest you get from em. HOWEVER--
The achievement system sure did used to exist, and was taken down to be worked on quite some time ago. It could be cool if when it comes back up, you get an achievement for awakening a KS Fam- and the Boolean achievement could be reworked into unlocking for awakening one instead of owning one.

No support for an actual reward, support for an achievement once that system comes back.

I wouldn't mind seeing Fiona recolors of the boolean and other extremely rare familiars. There's already precedent - there are Fiona recolors for the Willowmane Deerling and Slight Eyewing and both of those are no longer obtainable.

I'd like to see recolors of all the KS familiars, that'd be pretty neat. Maybe even alterations to them to make them different enough from the originals.

Copycats with new art would be neat but that'll never happen.

It's pretty possible to awaken the ultra-rare stuff - the sprites, KS, and beta - as long as you have everything else. Which is very challenging, but you can do it if you're dedicated. So you can view a recolor as a prize for near-completionism instead of a prize for actually owning a hyper rare and retired item.

Still...

If we were to get recolors of these ultra-unobtainable familiars - which I would like, for the same reason I'm happy the Nymphs exist - I'd also like to see a mechanic for Fiona that made it easier to awaken specific familiars (instead of a shuffled selection each day, half of which you already own), so that people who aren't near the limit still have a realistic shot at them. There was an old suggestion about pinning familiars which I naysayed at the time that I now wholly support - I recently ran a thread asking about progress and anyone who had more than twenty undiscovereds in the bestiary had made pretty negligible ground towards awakening. As in, thirty missing familiars and bonding since Fiona arrived might have the highest unowned familiars mid-Relaxed. Make that two hundred and you've gotten nowhere. It seems like a shame that Fiona really won't ever help anyone fill out their bestiary unless they're already close to maxing it.

I'm always in favor of more recolors for older familiars, I'd be thrilled to get a Bonefiend recolor

Completionists wants ALL the familiars, meaning they'd like both the KS familiar and the recolour. The KS and boolean familiars are still as rare as they were, but now there's an alternative for those poorer players who're more into the aesthetics of the familiars (i.e if you think the skycat is adorable, you'd probably love a calico version as well) than the status of owning something super rare. The sprites getting recolours didn't really affect their value, as it wasn't really about what the sprites looked like that made them expensive. It was the exclusivity.
