TOPIC | Joxar's recolored 2013 stuff
1 2 3 4
Don't know if this has been suggested before? Idea is recolored kickstarter/beta familars from Joxar. Because nobody is ever gonna manage to get any of them 8 years after 2013. They'd probably be really popular.

Some ideas:
- Silver Idol. Probably could have the description of it being a fun little jab at how expensive it's golden counterpart is?
- Rusted Cog Frog that's silver with red rust.
- Skycats but with any real life cat breed instead. Maybe a hairless skycat?
- Some red or brown recolor of a bone fiend that paints it as a protector of dragon graveyards or something like that.
- Some yellow or red recolor of Boolean that continues the joke from the description of the Sparkling Stinger

Why put them in Joxar when Fiona is right there?
Because waiting daily for a 1 in 500 or so chance of getting a kickstarter familar and needing to do that multiple times would take too long and almost nobody has the actual kickstarter familar. Kickstarter recolors shouldn't be accomplishments, they should just make it more available to everyone.

Then they should make them gem familars or treasure familars or something. As long as they're easier to get. I thought Joxar would be a way to limit their release so they're not super valuable and thus not devaluing the actual kickstarter items, while at the same time making them available to anyone. They could just as easily be Night of the Nocturne familars like the recolored bears were.

I also don't really see why they can't be accomplishments, since the originals were special as well.

I do agree that putting them into Joxar wouldn't make sense, since he isn't for recolors, but I also don't think they should be readily available to players. (ie it shouldn't be a common coli drop or something like that, there should be more effort involved in obtaining them, though I am not exactly sold on fiona as a method, though it makes more sense than Joxar)

Like other's above have said, I'm not really against recolours. But Joxar makes little sense because these aren't festival stuff. Nor do I really think the gem marketplace is the place for it either, as I feel like that should be reserved for new stuff and not recolours of the old stuff.

So far the Fiona option is what I'm leaning towards. That way everyone has the chance to achieve one, but they'd still be harder to get than most familiars. It's healthy to have a bunch of stuff that everyone onsite can achieve, without it being easy to get it.

People can work towards getting Excavators or Eldritch frogs. The suggestion was that they should be no harder to obtain than the recolors of other 2013 familars. If people want something to work towards then the original versions exist.

They were special items that were exclusive for a reason, and while the recolors don't need to be 'exclusive' I do think they shouldn't be treated like other familiars/items, because they aren't.
