So, I know a lot of people get annoyed by the Coli captcha, but I also know it's required.

But as oppsoed to getting a temp state boost, why not instead get a temporary item drop boost? Maybe not even boost the chance for rare items, but just maybe increase the number of items that drop? (And not definitively, but just an increased chance for more items for the next turn). I feel like that would make the captchas worth while, especially when grinding in Coli. And not a big item boost either, but like 25-50% more items (again, a chance for more items - not a definite increase in item drops)? So the difference being the next round giving you four items instead of three?

This seems like a good addition for a new camping effect to be added to the pool of current effects.

Really though the captcha needs an overhaul so it isn’t so hostile and inaccessible, especially to visually impaired users.

I mean you're completely right on that front. I have pretty good eyesight and I fail the captcha like 50% of the time

"Not a big item boost" and "25% to 50% increase" are kinda mutually exclusive, you know.

25% is a big boost - the stat boost we get are literally only 5%

I don't object to a little more loot [emoji=ridgeback happy size=1] and TBH I would *much* prefer 1 extra loot item over a stat bonus (especially stuff like +5 MND, which is... completely useless for me) but what I really, really want is for the captcha to be more accessible because right now it sucks.

^This. I don't object to a little more loot and TBH I would *much* prefer 1 extra loot item over a stat bonus (especially stuff like +5 MND, which is... completely useless for me) but what I really, really want is for the captcha to be more accessible because right now it sucks.

If that increased chance were being applied to apparel/battlestones/familiars (especially boss familiars), yes, that'd be huge, and the people who got a boss instead of a normal mob right after a captcha would be very lucky. But one extra stackable item every 40 battles? That I'm not sure about; I don't know how many battles people who have both the focus and the ability to live in the coli average a day, but it feels like it would take a while to add up. I like the idea--especially since, yeah, the stat boosts are...not...even slightly useful, most of the time--but agree that the top priority needs to be accessibility.

Health / Breath fills seem like the most useful thing to me. Even if it isn't too much, maybe 25%? I don't think I'd notice an item drop boost, just like I don't notice the current ones, unless it was a rare item boost specifically which could cause some issues.

Given how slow I am at the captcha, simply doubling the following battle's drop likelihoods is, time-wise, probably only slightly better than me not having to do the captcha. That is, I can grind out a battle in only slightly more time than it'd take me to solve the captcha.

I think the mind tends to go more towards very good/bad outcomes but, statistically, your chance of getting a boss battle after a captcha is equal to getting a second boss battle after a first (NOT to getting two in a row, different math there). If you could choose the battle that came next, that could be pretty broken, but you can't.

Put another way, let's say your chance of getting an elim is 1/1000. So there's a 999/1000 chance of not getting an elim.

In this world, your chance of getting an elim after a doubled droprate is 2/1000, or 0.002

Your chance of getting an elim after two battles with the standard droprate:
1-(999/1000)*(999/1000) = 0.00199


If it was 1/50 instead:
2/50=0.04
1-(49/50)^2=0.0396

It's always possible I borked the math, it's been awhile :P But yeah, not only do I support an item boost, I think it and the EXP boost should replace the stat boosts--coli meta being what it is, having a MND boost really just underscores how broken the coli is. Captchas are neither so common nor so quick that it seems like it'd bork the rates, but this would make them less "uggh captcha"
