no joke my first reaction was "hmm..."

But in all seriousness.... I can see this leading to aLOT of drama. We already have the "don't exalt my dragons" issue... This will be a ton worse

Somehow I feel like this isn't a serious suggestion.
This would do nothing that exalting doesn't already do, except cause the site to implode with drama. There's nothing stopping you from headcanoning exalted dragons as dead if you want them to be dead.

[/quote] I think this suggestion is meant to actually 'remove' the dragon, so that if you bred a gen 1, you would 'kill' the offspring and the gen 1 would be 'unbred' again. If that is the case, then I can see the gen1 market crashing, because players could start churning out XXX's and then 'killing' the parents to make 'psuedo' gen1s that are perfect.

Do you want this for dragons that already exist that you own but are a child of a gen one?
I don't think this would work unfortunately. We already have exalting, this feature might make lineages messy, and I don't really know how feasible it would be in the system to just delete a dragon. Like there'd just be a missing dragon ID number?

If you didn't want a gen one bred, just don't breed it. If you didn't breed it, the last owner did then it's not really up to you anyway.

There's already suggestions for cleaning up offspring lists too, like toggling them to be hidden. Which I would personally prefer than a dragon delete button.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't feel it'd really work!

Did a double take at the title but I have to echo the no support.

There doesn't seem to be any difference between deleting and exalting a dragon, especially since after fourteen days an exalted dragon cannot be recovered.

So... you want to be able to manufacture gen1s? Breed XXX, delete parents, insta XXX gen1? No thanks.

Another problem with deleting a dragon is that each dragon is assigned with an unique number, assigned by the system in sequence of their birth time. If one is deleted, what happens to that number? Does it get reused (and we end up with smaller ID# assigned to younger dragons)? Or does that number just returns an 'oops not found' page?

If we're talking about drama, who has the right to delete the dragon? The way OP worded gives me the feeling that it's about the owner of g1 parent who wants to clean up their offspring list, but what if the offspring is owned by someone else, then this "delete dragon" feature won't help at all because they aren't the owner of the offspring. As well as what everyone had said, we already have huge drama around people's bred dragons got exalted (the owner of the parents still thinks they have a say for their dragon's kids), if they found out that their kids are now 'killed/deleted', imagine the drama!

Ah yes, because that won't cause any drama whatsoever, right?
