TOPIC | Add sell-back value to scattersights?

in light of the unexpected demolition of the value of the vials of scattersight, into which many players had invested significant time and expense, perhaps the fair thing to do would be to assign them a significant (high) resell/hoardsale value?? just tryna think of a fair way people can recoup their losses. thanks for considering! If it's too high, though, and everyone turning in their vials all at once, this could have a HUGE negative impact on the economy.

If FR feels the need to use scattervials, I'd rather see them used in Swipp, Baldwin, or just letting players pick an eye type from a drop down box.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
The thing is, a lot of people didn't *actually* lose anything.

Lost potential profits from items that were free coli drops =/= actually losing money buying items.

No support from me. I don't personally care about scattersights but they are a retired item and I feel even if the price tanks, it in no world should have been worth more than 100g in the first place. There's also the collectors that may still want the vials, if you hoardsell something it's deleted unless you recover it.

No support.

What we lost was the air in the price nothing more, they still have the exact same base value that was given to them when they got added. Sometimes investments just don't bring the bread to the table, gotta live with that.

I'm +10H ahead of FR time!
Replies may be slow, so sorry ;w;
No support. Those with scattersight vials were not robbed of anything. Losing potential profits due to the price of an investment dropping is not the same thing as losing money directly. Investments aren't worth anything until they are sold.

Scattersights weren’t expensive to brew/coli, so why should they have a high hoardsell price?

Okay. For those of you who don't get why others are upset, let me explain. I got into the game for the breeding. And, the eye types were dependent on random luck in hatches. So, to get an xxx with a primal, you had to invest in breeding pairs for it.

To buy gems costs real USD $$$, to which a LOT of us paid significant over time to achieve these goals. And, while there has been a lot of debate, the creators decided when they dropped eyes initially they would not be a marketplace item, when people were begging them to make them marketplace items.

We aren't talking just resale here. I spent months towards a goal, and I have a birthday dragon with primal eyes that's xxx. 3 days later they drop that eye type into the market place. What was a special dragon, isn't now. I could have bought an xxx dragon or whatever dragon I wanted to on my b-day and applied whatever eye type I wanted now.

Basically, it changed that dragon to no different than it's siblings in rarity.

The months of efforts were wasted. The main enjoyment I was playing the game for, reduced to a non value.

There should be no reason for people to be against those who get the eye types via vial from having a tag on there indicating so. But, it's also that it's in the Treasure marketplace. I think for most of us, it belongs in the gem marketplace priced with the premium genes.

Scattervials were free to get in the first place. This is just greedy.

If you regret spending real money on a dragon, why want others to do the same? In my opinion it shouldn't leave the Treasure marketplace. It's difficult enough to earn gems as it is and there's enough exclusive items that are gem-only, we don't need another aspect of customization locked to newbies.
