TOPIC | Distinguish Vial-Changed Eyes vs Natural

The same way there's a distinction between egg-hatched G1 dragons and the Roundsey G1 dragons, maybe consider a similar way to distinguish dragons who have had their multi/primal/etc eyes changed via vial versus dragons who were born with their eye type

No.

No support unless the same is done to dragons who have been breed changed, gotten new genes, or have been tri color scatter scrolled. If eyes get marked as different just because they are changed then the same should be done for any changes made to a dragon.

I suggest you read this thread here. This is the only idea that I support when it comes to marking some dragons as different from others. Even still I believe it’s too late to mark any of the dragons changed over the past few days so it would only work for dragons afterwards.

No support.
This is like asking for natural born colors or genes to be denotes. Completely unnesecarry and probably too late.

I support it, and I'm kinda guessing those against didn't spend 4k+ gems apiece on egg-hatched primals before the 3-years-later change. :)

No support. The site probably didn't keep track of this, so would all the dragons with special eyes be marked as "hatched" or "vialed"? Why do we need to make a distinction between naturally born and changed via a vial?

There's probably a distinction between normal G1s and Roundsey dragons because (if I remember correctly) they're made by the staff.
I support it, and I'm kinda guessing those against didn't spend 4k+ gems apiece on egg-hatched primals before the 3-years-later change. :)
There have been some who have who still don't support it. (not me though, but in other threads I have seen people who have said they have spent a ton of money on 'natural' primals) But, no support. There is no functional reason for this, because there is no functional difference between a 'natural' primal and a 'vialed' primal. I would support a new tab, optional to display to the public, that keeps track of changes to the dragon, such as being scattered, gene changed etc, as long as it was also optional to 'turn off and delete' changes that a player didn't want to view. (ie, if someone has a dragon that needs a specific set of genes and eye type, they might buy a dragon with the right colors, and eye type, but need to change the genes. In their lore, the dragon was always like that, so they might not want the reminder that they had to gene change the dragon, so they want to turn off recording of changes to that dragon.) This would also help keep the amount of data needed to be kept track of down, as it would mean that not all dragons would have data recorded. If it was like mentioned in the other thread, the one about a 'history' tab, then it coudl start out as 'off' for dragons and players could turn it on to record changes if they wanted. The 'original' stats about the dragon (genes, colors etc..) are already 'stored' because that is how the site knows what to display on the dragon page, so there really isn't a need to have it automatically 'on' for every dragon ever hatched. While this wouldn't be able to record changes prior to the update, it would be a nice thing going forward. But I don't support a label on dragons stating whether they are 'natural' or 'vialed' eyes.

After seeing some of the comments towards Vialed dragons vs. "natural born" (and I do realize some are just made in jest), I don't know that I'd want a "natural" marker even if also had markers for those born with genes and colors. Some of the attitude going around is that those "born as" are more special than those that have been changed with a Vial. And it's fine if players think that way, specialness is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't think the game needs to validate that by adding a stamp.

And yes, I am someone who spent thousands of gems and millions of treasure to hatch my own G1 Primal. I still don't support the marker. I could have hatched her within my first few eggs. The marker doesn't prove how much I spent a lot on her.

I think a history log of all color, gene and eye changes is a different matter, because the game isn't actually stamping the dragon as special by giving some a "born as" marker, while others are just unmarked or are designated as "vialed" or something. It's just listing changes, or no changes if the dragon hasn't gone through any.

People were fine with dragons having 'special eyes' when they came from scattering, so no support.

This suggestion seems like a good compromise and is very thorough.

To me the primary issue is once again communication-- no indication was given that the devs were ever going to change the eye issues, 3 years later, so people spent big money on scatters/eggs/g1 primals.

Don't get me wrong at all. I'm thrilled about the update and being able to put eye types on my existing, really old dragons. I just think there should be some kinda "yeah... sorry 'bout your money" consolation prize for the people who dished out all their FR savings for primals/multis pre-vials. Buuut, maybe that's just me. :)

No support. There's another thread, still on the front page, with many details both for and against this suggestion here:https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/sug/3004218
