I’m feeling inspired by the idea of colorful eye types and want to add a cute little spin to the fact we have vials for all existing eye types and I’d like to suggest this fun idea here. To begin I love the idea of many new eye types and I hope we can get plants of new eye types in the future! Which is where this idea came from. Prismatic Primal As it stands we have primals that are different shapes depending on the element of the dragon which is very popular. And seeing as it’s a much loved eye feature I ask the we get a vial available though the gem marketplace or maybe even NOTN or Joxar that takes the shape of the dragons elemental alignment but just has a different color. To clear up any possible confusion there can be two ways of doing this. One would be a single different color available for each primal type, not every primal has a rainbow. Unless staff can actually do that... which would be insane.. But say a fire dragon can have primal and it’s still flames coming out of the flames but is blue in color. This would mean each primal only gets one different color. Otherwise it can work like this, individual vials from the gem marketplace that comes in different color varieties so instead of a single vial that only gives one different color of the dragons primal shape theres a 10 different vials. All these vials do would be take the shape of the dragons elemental primal but edit it to a different color or hue from one of the other flights colors or hues. Say cyan earth primal with little cyan stones around the eye, maybe purple snowflakes from an ice dragon. This would mean each primal gets several different colors. For example below is a fire dragon with a “blue prismatic primal” applied to it. Rainbow Multigaze This idea is far more simple. Take multigaze and make all the eyes a different color except for the ones on the face to indicate the dragons elemental flight. So say a light dragon has rainbow multigaze the eyes on its face like normal dragons would stay yellow but all the other eyes are different colors. For example below is a ice dragon with a concept for rainbow multigaze. In the end this is all just a fun idea that might be fun to have and potentially easy to make if frs artists just do some color editing or whatever they do to make coli captchas with all the different color items. But it would be fun and a nice way to further customize all the dragons one can imagine. This may even make less popular flight primal shapes a little more interesting to some people.

I think recolored/reshaped primal vial would make a neat fest item

I love this idea it seems cute! But how would you stop people from applying orange prismatic primal to a fire dragon? Put it in the description -Orange prismatic doesn’t work for fire dragons.- put it in the pop up too?

I love you staff and thank you so much for the eye update 2.0! I cannot thank you enough for this!
This is neat!

If it wouldn't burden staff too much, sure!
I like the idea. I'm not sure if it would happen, but I like it a lot.

Oooh I love this! I would absolutely love a blue watery shadow primal, a fiery red wind primal or plague primal that looked like moss!
Super cool idea, and I love the rainbow multigaze too! Very cute! Personally I'd love multigaze with different tints or pupils too.

I'd rather we got new eyes instead of recolors--but if we were to get recolors, then I would prefer they happen through Baldwin, since there's already precedent with him offering that sort of thing for Battlestones. And, if the eyes are said lore-wise to be the result of BotE magic popping out everywhere and whatnot, it makes sense to me that fiddling with suspicious cauldron magic is a good route to changing how they look.

I don't hate this, but I worry that it starts to really stray too far from the idea that a dragon's eyes should be an indication of their flight. The sheer variation in shades now available means that the line is already kind of blurry, but this would definitely cross over into full "anything goes" with colors.

So! If it happened, I'd feel it was neat; I'm just not sure it actually matches the current design philosophy?
What about--let's assume we're talking the Fire Primal again here--a case of having the same orange base eye, but just the flames themselves be green or blue or whatever other color they want to make them? I feel like that would satisfy both the design philosophy and the recolor interests. Not sure how to make that work for the Light Primal yet, but I'm sure someone clever could come up with something. (Personally, I feel like that stopped mattering when we got items that let us completely mask or change our dragons' eye colors--the Marva eyes, the goggles from the arctic sets, etc.--but in the interest of meeting a middle ground, that question.)

The eyes are still indicative to the dragons flight but only varying in color, a fire dragon will always be a fire dragon and the primal will always be fire but the color of said primal would be like being viewed in a different light and thus appearing a different color. This could as mentioned above happen through rogue cauldron magic or through the magic of festivals with joxar as though the magic of another element gave them primal but it’s just a different color. Say you can only get certain color prismatic vials depending on what festival it is. Meanwhile rainbow multigaze would likely be a unnatural eye type and just for entertainment like innocent. In the end would be nice for customization and if using either of the lore explanations above probably just a fun little thing to have. Personally I would love entirely new eye types but I understand those may take a lots of consideration meanwhile primal is well loved by many and this would just offer nice new customization if not interesting festival or cauldron magic lore.
