I think it could be a really fun addition if there were four eye types you could get from gathering that would compliment the seasonal apparel (spring's breath, summer swelter, autumn breeze, winter wind).
Maybe the drop rate would increase during the springswarm (etc) week events, but be available the full season as a rare (maybe egg rarity?) drop from any element.
I don't have any visual examples of what I'm thinking of made at the moment, but maybe these eye types would minimally impact the actual color of the eye, but have the seasonal effect around the flight's eye color.
So kind of an rough example for Winter Wind, take ice primal with the snowflakes, but keep whatever flight's eye color as the main eye. So an arcane dragon would have pink eyes with snowflakes/ice shards swirling around it. Maybe this could be a good opportunity for a false eyelid, like 3/4 or half closed, and the eyelid color would blend into/become the elemental, like a fancy eye shadow.

This would be a nice apparel item! I think it'd be hard for it to be an eye type, though, just because of the links it would have to ice and nature primal styles, for example.

Not sure on adding snowflakes like primal (mostly cause primals have already tanked enough in value as is lol), but I could see this being an interesting eye type! a seasonal type could be pretty neat to have.

I think this would be cool and I'm always for more interesting eye types but I can't think of a single way for it to work without delving too much into the territory of the ice and nature primals, which just seems a little unfair to those specific flights. If you have a "winter wind eye type" on an ice dragon wouldn't that just be a cheap version of an ice primal?
I'd prefer something more unique. Maybe still season-based..but not off of the wind apparels? Like maybe the winter one could make the pupil snowflake-shaped (summer sun-shaped, spring flower-shaped, etc..)? But then again, pupil-based eye-types always run into the issue of being hard to see on small-eyed breeds, so I'm still not a huge fan of that. I'm not sure.
I do like the idea of seasonal eye types, I just can't think of a good execution for it.

Because we have flights with primals that already look like they could be within several different seasons, I don't think this could be done without them being mistaken for another batch of primals, just for a select few flights that change colour with the element. Not that that is necessarily bad, but it would be weird.
A few random eye ideas that could be interesting if put in a seasonal theme that could change colour with element:
- Ice spreading out from the eyes like Plague primal. Could work in a crystalline way too.
- Flower petals coming out from the back of the eye. Maybe some of the petals are flying off like Ice primal? Could be an eyelash sort of style.
- Flower or Nature primal idea, but use a leaf. Leaves can become several different colours in the fall, including purple. Would be a cool reflection of that.
I'll be honest... I can't think of anything for summer. Either way, I'd rather we not get seasonal types that just copy paste parts of existing primals.

Absolutely! Didn't mean at all on my first post that it would just be copypasta of a few of the primal types.
Your point that it would kinda just look like another ice/nature primals is valid, hence why I hadn't made any examples yet, hadn't quite thought through the idea fully and had to get back to work.
I think having it be that the dragon's flight would show through as the actual eye color, but maybe influenced by the season (brighter for summer, duller for winter? Two tone for spring/fall?) would help keep these eye types differentiated from a primal.
I like the idea more of the winter as ice crystals/shards or icicles, to differentiate it fully from the ice primal, but may cause issues in the future if the devs would want to design primals 2.0

If it was unique enough from the primals, then I'm all for it.

I really like that idea! It could also be a bit more subtle, like making the winter one look like it's covered in frost.
