So, one of the biggest complaints I hear about the trading post is Crim asking for retired or wildly expensive items, like the festival bears, boss fams, and eliminates. The biggest problem with this is that Pinkerton can't give you those items, when in canon they should be pulling from the same pool--anything you can give Crim to put in her pile, Pinkerton should be able to pull out.
This definitely isn't the case right now, as the most valuable things Pinkerton seems able to give out are berserkers and ambushes.
The discrepancy between their item pools makes no sense in canon, and also leaves the player at a disadvantage--it's not enough that Pinkerton is once a day while Crim is every hour, but if you slip up and agree to give Crim an anniversary cake, you know there's no way that Pinkerton will ever get it back to you, or give you something of equal value.
I think the simplest way to resolve this is to have them do what they're supposed to be doing anyway--ask for or give out things from the same list of potential items. And if people don't want Pinkerton giving out eliminates or old fest apparel, which I get, then restrict them both to Pinkerton's current, less exciting pile.
TL,DR anything crim can ask for, pinkerton should be able to give.
for me at least this change would be a huge quality of life improvement, and would take the anxiety out of clicking through Crim's offers.
