It would be nice if we could add a gems to treasure/treasure to gems converter in the self support section. Whenever i need to convert money, I usually find a converter thread. I think it's probably very hard for the person who runs the thread to get the money needed to make conversions.
So this would be a nice addition to the site.

I don't support this, as it would mean staff is deciding the conversion rate and that is something players should decide.

I do think this is strictly against staff's intention for gems. See, they allow trading between players, as that means gems are most likely still being bought with USD by the player that is selling them.
Adding a converter is straight up giving away gems for treasure with no USD involved. They gain no profit from this. This wouldn't become a thing even if everyone wanted it to.

I agree with everything others already said. Though, making an additional tab in the AH so that players can exchange currency quicker and safer seems like a reasonable addition.

I'm a little uncertain on a section in the AH for gem and treasure trading, something like that would make it very difficult to make a profit on gem to treasure trading, which is a large and harmless source of income.

No support for staff setting an official t:g ratio, but people being able to sell gems on the AH for treasure (or vice versa) would be SO much more convenient than having to look on the forums for people who convert and deal with things like social anxiety of interacting, or weird time differences, or a long wait while life happens, or some combination thereof.

I had no issue finding threads to trade with yesterday, who were online even so I didn't have to wait very long. Most people selling and buying g/t in the items for sale forum are just looking for the other currency - they didn't have a hard time getting it together, they're just.. Buying and selling, it isn't a service.
Support for some kind of ah section for doing gem and treasure trades, though. I'd find that really useful.

No because that still sets an official ratio which is not something a lot of players want to see. The current player determined ratio is the safest for the economy as it responds to supply and demand
Again a section in the auction house where players can list gems for the amount of treasure they want or treasure for the amount of gems they want would be the only 'automatic' transaction I'd like to see as it is still player controlled
