Players are currently geneing up their Obs, so they kind of need to know whether the look of their dragons is going to change.
This is especially true as not everyone reads through the bug forum, so some players are probably happily applying bugged genes such as Noxtide without being aware that the colours might change dramatically. On the other side of the coin, other players are probably holding off or avoiding some genes until they see the 'final' look, so if the art errors aren't going to be fixed anytime soon they should know that they're safe to go ahead and gene up.
Either way, the playerbase needs to know what's going on...

Support, I'm holding off on scrying a lot of genes because of the issues and would like to know if they're going to be fixed.

I’m already pretty sick of those mandatory bugs with new breed genes... I mean, even now with new modern bugs are existing and here are tons of them.. Don’t they even testing how genes working on them or not before releasing?

I didn't realize underbelly was glitched and I thought the strange colors was a style choice so I went ahead and wasted 1200 gems on glimmer that I apparently didn't have to buy :(
would love to be kept in the loop for gene errors in one way or another.
FOr reference, my XYY double berry with underbelly versus with glimmer, showing why I had to resort to glimmer:

I didn't realize that underbelly color was an error at first. A list of genes that aren't working as intended would be great even if there are no plans to fix them, just so we know what may change a few years from now or whenever they get fixed! Thanks for the consideration

I'm holding off until gene fixes are put out. My own enjoyment of the new breed is diminished seeing so many errors. It's a shame, obelisks look really neat and I love the guardian lion look, but it just doesn't seem worth it to try scrying them when so many genes need to be fixed.

Yeah, definitely announce what genes are not displaying as intended so it's not a shock when they change suddenly in the future.
You'd think that was common sense, but I think the only genes we've gotten an explicit announcement about this have been iridescent and shimmer?

For something like this, I think I'd rather a warning for something that never happens than to not get a warning, spend the currency, and have it change without the warning...

Personally, I would rather, instead of a list of errors, have more of a list of intentions.
IE, These genes have errors/inconsistencies and we are going to fix them.
These genes, while seemingly having errors/inconsistencies, we have decided to leave as is (such as the butterfly mane issue, where it was 'fixed' then reverted) or they were intended that way.
That way people have a quick way to look up genes that might seem like they have an error and figure out whether or not it is a true error.
As gene errors get fixed they can be removed or moved to a different portion of the list.
(but there definitely should be a list of known errors in an easy to find place)
I just live in fear that Iri/shim is going to be changed and changed to look like Obelisk iri/shim :P

I do think warnings should be given, however to say that they will fix something and then not doing it for literally years, only to say that they don't know if they will fix it or not is essentially leaving people in a very similar predicament.
Now we have people that don't want to buy in case it does change as well as people that are buying thinking it won't change when there is a chance it will.
