Lol what if there was a "Scroll of Disownment" for like 500g that you could apply to any dragon on an offspring list, and it took off the Dragon's entry

If the dragon is exalted, going to their ID # just shows [disowned] for their parents

Now you, too, can make your dragons terrible parents!

Only if that means that dragons acts as a G1. If the site would still consider them related to their parents and siblings for breeding purposes then no support. I don’t want to run into this and have no idea if 2 dragons are siblings or 4 generations apart.

Would it only work going up? So basically, you'd have to own the child to disown the parents and remove the child from the parents' list? Or could parents disown a child without owning the child as well?

Totally not support! It is already too hard track all related dragons 5 generations up and down when you trying find unrelated dragons for projects!

(because in fact dragon can not become in real unrelated to it's parents this way)

(maybe yes when we got good family tree with all relatives within 5 generations up and down)

@Almedha You have to own either, or have exalted the child yourself. If you own the parents you can disown a name from their offspring list. If you own a child you can disown the parents. If the child is exalted you can still disown them
@Alkhor The parents wouldn't not exist, just be removed from their bio essentially. This is mostly for removing unwanted offspring from lists.

You still wouldn't be able to breed them with siblings, you'd probably get the same message in Assay Bloodlines. Also I don't get how it's hard to just throw the dragons you're planning on breeding in Assay Bloodlines? I always do that before I start a project

@Gryphire I feel like making a scroll that gives people the ability to make their dragons into G1s would completely destroy the G1 economy lol. Although that's kind of a cool thing to consider, it would probably just have to be cosmetic and only superficially remove names from lists instead of making them actually an orphan.

no support.

For one, this could potentially be used to make 'false gen1s'.

Own two XXX Gen3434 dragons, breed them, 'disown' all offspring from both and suddenly you have an XXX gen1 breeding mill.

If the parents still show up on the offspring's lineage, still no support, because that is just a recipe for confusion when people trace a lineage, and suddenly their child has parents, but the parents don't have any offspring.

Last, while Assay bloodlines exists, when it comes to buying dragons, it can be necessary to buy the dragons before they are bought and usually exalted. This would mean that obvious siblings could seem not related so a person could potentially buy both without realizing it (I did that once, not meaning to breed them, but two dragons, two different times, different breeds, same sex, only realized later they were full siblings, and this was WITH the ability to see parents and offspring :P)

@Jemadar Clearly you didn't read my thread.

One, I said it would just remove the name from offspring lists. I didn't say it would change the functionality of the dragon. Instead of saying parents: none, for them it would say parents: disowned.

And same deal, if you put them in Assay Bloodlines with another dragon it will tell you if they're related.

And your last point is a problem that already exists and has nothing to do with my suggestion. It's not my fault two dragons didn't look related to you...that's what Assay Bloodlines is for. You took the risk by choosing to buy them first.

Please understand the meaning of 'disownment'.

Also, one other point: Unbred dragons, especially oldies and gen1s are often seen as more valuable without offspring. I don't know how much a 'clean' offspring list would look, but I dislike anything that can be used to 'scam' others into thinking something is what they are not.

IE, a gen one with one child is much less valuable than a gen1 without a child. But, mechanically, that gen1 would still have a child, it just wouldn't show up on the parent(s).

I just have to say no support. I feel that lineages are important to the game and that while customizing the offspring list is something I do support, I don't support having it where a non-owner cannot find the 'true' lineage of the dragon (ie a way to see past nicknames, collapsed offspring boxes, 'hidden' offspring etc..)

@simplyNefarious exactly! dragon do not turne into "true G1" unrelated to anyone!
It still related. And? How should I procide to parents/kids on this "disowned" dragon to track famely branches?

add: you always repeat "we have "check relation" but problem is that this plain message very useless to make it clear HOW EXACTLY far this 2 related.
We need jumps back and forth thrue branches to see it. and "invisibly child/parrent" in bio tottaly unacceptable here
